I am loosing sleep and ignoring my children in my obsession of searching for fabrics for a WW bag!! Before I go to bed tonight, thought I'd get your opinions on a couple of my pairs. I want something fun, since all my other bags are black. Yet don't want it to be too cutesy or anything because I don't want to look at it in a month and think "what was I thinking". It will be a bag primarily for my 2 girls (and me) as my boys are 5 and 7 now.

Does this combo even work? Is it too busy together?

Am I going to think this is too cutesy later? Or am I just going to think its cute!

Sorry for all the links. I was only going to put one choice on here to get your opinions, but went nuts. I can't figure out how to attach the pics directly, how are you guys doing it? I have been able to copy the pics from the websites and paste into email, but not to here.

Thank you so much for any help!! I am really bad at this kind of thing!!

Kristen,

I know just how you feel! I've been staying up past midnight myself to look at fabric.....

I think the colors of your first combination match really well, but I can see what you mean about maybe being too busy.

If you decide to go with the 2nd print, I'd vote for the first plaid:http://www.hancocks-paducah.com/shop-html/prods/W/W668470.html. I love the red and yellow plaid you found, but I think the yellow isn't bright enough for that print.

Kim recommends the green fairies with that green stripe. I decided to be a little more daring. This is the combo I'm getting. The fairy fabric looks *very* muted in this picture but it's actually quite bright and cheery. I have it for our bedding, curtains, etc. so I know it's much brighter than it looks:

For the first one, I'd vote for the fairies because I have a phobia for frogs! lol. Also I think the little fairies are less "cutsy" then the frogs in bikinis. :)

As I usually wear black and white and have never owned anything pink or pastel until this co-op, my vote would be for the second print: the red background with black prints one. if you do decide to go with this one, how about just a simple black canvas bottom with red piping, and red toile interior, or red canvas bottom with black piping? Just my $0.02. good luck with your decision! You are not the only one losing sleep over this. Before I talked to Kim, I felt restless all day and couldn't think about anything else. Who knows a diaper bag will make me so crazy?? lol. Cheers, Lin

LOL! :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's been up lately looking at fabric combinations. My kids have had a heyday with my house as a result!

What type of style are you going for?

I really like the red print. I would use a black bottom like Lin suggested with a red piping. Then use the toile to line the interior!

As for the other combo, the fairies definitely! I'm just not really a pink person!

I finally picked my fabrics and sent them in to Kim, so at least I can tame my kids! Have fun and get some sleep!

Why did some of these come up as pictures and some as links????

Someone asked what look I was going for. Until now, I've never ordered any thing but plain old black! My thought was that I wanted something fun/stunning/interesting, and I am now leaning to a more kid-like print that I wouldn't use elsewhere (looking at all these fabrics is inspiring me to finally pick out a fabric for curtains in our now 3 yr old home, and for a couch for our empty living room!). I guess I just need your reassurance that these are fun/stunning/interesting- and not over the top!
