Help!!! I've never chosen fabrics before and am having a terrible time deciding. What do you think of the following combo and which stripe works better?

The paisley:

The stripes:

The colors on both stripes match the pattern well. I feel that the second one matches better, but the first one for some reason makes the pattern stand out more, at least to my untrained eyes. HTH. Lin

I like the first one best. Very pretty.

I think the first set of stripes is the best match for the paisley. The colors best complement those in the paisley. Also it doesn't look too "busy" next to the more complex paisley design. I love your choice of fabrics, btw :)

I think those are the same, if not similar, fabrics that I am doing my bag in. Not the exact same, but close. I love them all, but I like the first two together best.

Can you explain (again, as I know I've seen this asked before!) how to get the pics directly in the post?

I am not an expert, this is what I found out from trial and error, so not sure whether it is the RIGHT way to do it. More seasoned board members, please do chime in. :-) FWIW, this is what I did: when you are selecting which file to attach to your message, remember to check the box that says something like "want attachment to show in the body of text." Also remember to change the selection from "text file" to "jpg file" if your pictures are in the jpg format.

You can then see whether it works by using the "preview." I have experiemented with "text file," and it did show on the text once as well. But last night when I forgot to check the "jpg file" box, it did not show up in the text for some reason.

HTH. Have a wonderful day! btw, your bag will be very classy! :)

Jessica,
I LOVE the paisley and stripe combo (especially the first set)! Your bag is going to be beautiful! Can I ask what size you are getting?
(ps. Ava says hello to her birthday buddy!)
