What should I look for in a diaper bag for a toddler?

My current diaper bag is seeming too big. AND where do you put the sippy cup? I usually only carry 2-3 diapers, changing pad, small box of wipes, a washcloth, bib, spoon, and take-and-toss cup full of crackers. Then I also use the diaper bag for my stuff- wallet and checkbook, maybe sunglasses.

Should I get a bag with the "bottle" pocket?
Should I even get a diaper bag or just get a large purse?
What am I not carrying that I should be toting for a toddler?

Logan is probably my last child and whatever I get will probably have to last me a year, so I'd love your insight!

Well let's see i have a chester toddler tote it has a inside pocket for a sippy ;)

I like that it zips closed and is this sorta nylon material, it's soft but is easier to wipe up.

After that the lands end little tripper is also good, it has two sippy/bottle pockets and is not "big" but certainly has enough space for what you listed.

Those are the two i rotate about with most often...however i'm always on the "look" lol considering one of those timbuk2 bags since ds will be outta diapers at some point this year so i'll be down to snacks and toys etc, you know needing a bag just for stuff not really needing a "diaper bag" anymore...

Also the petunia picklebottom toddler tote is interesting...hard to decide, maybe try running a search on toddler bags more companies are making them now.

I also like my i'm still me large tote but some days it feels "too much" with only one in diapers and the girls being 5 & 8yrs :)

Dobre Goods makes additional accessories that I've seen at www.totshop.com, but their prices on the diaper bag are a tad bit higher ($83).
