Cause there's no way that I'm able to even come close to wearing this thing as a messenger.

Hey-I'm no midget! I'm 5'4 but it works messenger style for me-very comfortably I might add!

Ah, that would be me.
But at 5 feet nothing, I prefer petite or, if you must, vertically challenged. LOL!

Midget #3 signing in at 5'2"! :)

No, I understand what you mean Candy. It does hit a little high. I can wear it more comfortably as a messenger when it's less packed, but when it's fully packed I usually keep it on the shoulder.

I'm 5'5" and wear it this way. It really does depend on how packed it is though. I'll have DH take a pic of me with it and post it tonight.

I'm 5'8 and I can wear it as a messenger if it isn't too packed. (I'm also pretty flat-chested, though, and I think that helps in this case!) :)

If it's stuffed, it definitely works better as a shoulder bag.

Thank you, Candy!!!

I'm only 5'4" and there's no way I can wear my empty Mothership as a messenger!

I was figuring it was because I am breastfeeding DS (1 month old), and at the present time, I am inordinately well-endowed. However, I can't even imagine deflating enough to wear it comfortably messenger style!

(FWIW, I found my Mothership on sale at the local Right Start and had them hold it for my mother to pick up, so I never tried it in person. I don't really like shoulder bags, so it's going back or on swap or ebay.)

Laura,

What color do you have?

Candy,

I have the indigo. It's actually a nice color. Dark enough that you can carry it when you're wearing black and not feel like you're carrying a blue bag, but a nice non-black alternative.
