We are taking a vacation this fall (traveling by plane) - DS will be 17 months, and probably will have exceeded the weight/height limit for his Pack N Play. I'm curous, where do your toddlers sleep during trips when they are too big for the pack n play and too little for a real bed?

I just picked up a Ready Bed for my 18-month old at Sears. It's normally priced at 29.99 but was on clearance for 7.50. It's an inflatable mattress that fits inside a sleeping bag-type sack. It comes with a hand/foot pump and took only a few minutes to inflate. When deflated, the entire thing fits inside a small travel bag.

I'm going to use it once and a while for naps so that he gets used to it. But, I'm hoping he'll sleep in it at my parents' house and on trips.

(The one we got is the Pooh version.)

Wow,great deal. Was this a a regular Sears store or a outlet?I'd love to get 1 or 2 for my kids.

It was a regular store. I found it in the children's bedding area.

We bought a kid sized aero bed, it has slightly raised sides so they don't roll out. It is this one

I bought mine from The Right Start I think for $89.00

Hmmm...these look good, but I really had hoped for a crib-like bed where he would not be able to get out and roam about while we are sleeping (since we wont be in child-proof places while on vacation) Maybe we'll just plan to use the pack n play anyway. I just hope it's safe.

You could rent a crib - or perhaps your accomodations would provide one?
