It's gorgeous!!! It's for my DH, hence the sports theme (I'll include some Ella pics for comparison to shape, size, etc)! As many others have stated, workmanship is awesome! The pockets are super...wipes case, diapers, etc fit w/o flopping over. I also have 2 paci loops (ribbon w/ velcro to create a loop) which I'll use for toys, etc). This bag seems to stand up on its own more so than the Ella (and the Ella has Vinyl inside). I love the adjustable straps too...i know DS will use this bag when he gets older! I had it on his back tonight..but not long enough to grab the camera! I can't wait to get my other tote from Kim ~ just one more thing to look forward to coming in the mail, right?!?!

Wow, how much stuff do you have packed in that bag?

;)

Geez, didn't realize I had a few almost duplicate pics! I have packed:

2 Size 4 Diapers
Wipes Case
a small board book
Bottle of Water for me!
Cosmetic bag from the Ella w/ all sorts of stuff in it (bibsters, spoons, sunscreen, washcloth, tylenol, table toppers, etc).

I think that's it!

Is this something your DH is going to carry?

I hope so...but I'm realizing we hardly ever even carry a diaper bag...unless we're heading somewhere and know we're going to be out for hours! Plus, I keep a fully stocked bag in each car for "emergencies!"

What pocket did you stick the kitchen sink in? ;) Your bag is very cute. I love the shape--nice and streamlined. Hmmm...now maybe I should have gotten a backpack for the second bag...

It's awesome Laura. I love the way it stands up on its own too (especially in the pic of it next to your Ella).

You'll get a lot of use out of that backpack!!!! :)

I can't wait for my backpack!!! And I got mine in the nova fabric that your ella is in - so seeing your side by side pics makes me want it even more. I am also now contemplating a WW tote - which I debated on in the first co-op. With the discount now I would still get a great price, and great quality. Kim is just check on fabric for me - and I would have to decide the size. What tote size did you get Laura?

I love your bag. I think I'm going to steal to have to steal your fabric choices to have Kim make a backpack for my nephew for Christmas. It's awesome!

I had a feeling this might come up. So, I am going to talk a little bit about the fabric I did the backpack in.

When I purchased it for her backpack, I had no idea, that the material has a licensing agreement with it. Because the coop was for all custom orders, I was legally able to use the fabric for her bag ONLY (this is how my attorney explained it to me) So when she goes out in public, and someone says she got it, she can say she had it made by so and so, but I can't make any more projects out of the fabric and resell the item to costomers, because it would be illegal.

So if you want to have cloth diapers, bags, clothes, anything pretty much done in a licensed fabric that is not permitted for resale you either a) have to sew it yourself b) buy it and commission someone to do it for you or c) the seamstress can purchase it for you for a fee, but even if she has it in stock, she has to repurchase it again for that specific customer.

I know I know, those pesty laws....

Kim, could someone order the fabric from wherever you found it and just have it shipped straight to you for a custom bag? Just an idea if people want licensed fabrics...

Yes they can.

Licensed fabrics are character fabrics, sport/team fabrics, nascar themed fabric, Disney, etc.

There are also other licensed fabrics, I believe Munchkin fabrics from Japan are licensed only for personal use and a few others.

AND there are certain fabrics licensed to certain companies and only those companies can use them. Boppy® is one of them. I have had the pleasaure of speaking to the VP of Boppy. They have fabrics that are exclusive to them. For example the roses boppy is an exclusive fabric licensed to them that is exclusive to BabiesRUs or ToysRUs. So when you see a product or fabric that says "exclusive to" then if you see it somewhere else, they are using it illegally or its a cheap imitation.

Can you tell I can talk about fabric for forever?

Kim:

Wow, I didn't realize that with licensed fabrics ~ interesting to note!

The baseball lining was from one of the 3 websites recommended for the WW co-op! For the life of me...can't remember which site!

Funny, the Ella has vinyl inside yet flops over...the WW doesn't have vinyl and stands up!

Try infringing on someone's licensing rights and they get nasty. LOL

Especially the Shabby Chic® folks.
