Absolutely gorgeous bag, Mariana! I love that you kept the same fabric on the exterior, it's nice and simple which adds alot of class to the bag! The interior fabric is beautiful! Great selection of fabrics.
What size bag did you order?
I should be receiving my bag soon! I can't wait!
Enjoy your bag!

Duh, I guess I should post a review too!

GREAT. This bag is GREAT!!! I can't stop staring at it, I love it so much! I'm so in love with that fabric. :) Like everyone else has said, Kim's work is impeccable, truly. Good interfacing for strength, even stitches, good fabric placement...everything is very well done.

I can't remember what size I ordered, but I did request wider straps, which I think looks cool. I'm already daydreaming of the matching accessories... :)

I believe it was the Elizabeth.
The fabrics you choose are beautiful. Anna is getting it in the brown, fall colors. These fabrics while the weave is tight, thin, so I doubled on the interfacing because one layer plus stabilizer didnt do the trick. I think you got 2" wide straps.

Less than 30 to go....

Gorgeous. Random question, but what kind of little doll is that? It's so cute.

It's a Language Littles doll (www.languagelittles.com). It's "Ricky" and he speaks Spanish!

Kim,do you use a fleece interfacing? If that's a designer's secret I understand.:-) My Dh gave me a Janome sewing machine a year ago that I've hardly used so I thought maybe I could try my hand at making myself a tote.Of course I have all these projects in mind that I buy fabric for but never get around to making.:-(

No I do not use fleece. There are different kinds of interfacings and then their are stabilizers. I use both. The stabilizer I use is also used in window treatments and is completely washable and dry cleanable. However I do not tell people what that is. ;) As for fusbile interfacing I use DecoBond, because IMO it is the best. This is also used in the making of hats. If you want a softer, quilt like bag I would go with just using fleece. The first bag I ever made was made with a fleece liner. I still use it, its just floppy and has no shape.

Good luck on sewing!

Thanks Kim for the helpful tip.:-)I appreciate you sharing your knowledge

edited to add one more question if you don't mind.Does the fusible work best on the outside or on the lining?

Is this fabric available on the Whimsical Wears website? I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I am expecting my first baby in October and would love to see this in fall colors. Would you mind sharing the source of the fabric?

TIA! :)

HI, Mariana,

Gorgeous bag and gorgeous fabric! I have lost count of how many bags you have by now. lol. On Stroller SWAP and PP Stroller Board people create website devoted to their strollers and to share pics with fellow enthusiasts. You think you will create a website like that for your bag collection any time soon? :) It will be great if we can see the bags modeled and stuffed as in real life situations. lol. I know, like you have time right? ;-)

Cheers, Lin
