Stupid question, but I'm fairly new to this board and rather clueless.... What is a co-op? I gather from postings that everyone joins together and orders bags from a certain company, but how do they work, who collects payment, etc?

Thank you.

Yes, a co-op is basically a group that pools its collective "buying power" to get a better price on an item that everyone in the group wants.

They can work in a number of different ways. Sometimes one person takes all the orders and collects all the money and places one large order. Other times, retailers take the orders from individual group members, and you have a special code you use to signal that you're a part of the co-op so you receive the discounted price.

It's a great way to get a really good deal on items that are rarely (if ever) discounted (like diaper bags!!).
