I should stop checking this board. After seeing the co-op post on Friday, I have been having a new obsession: yes, the Kecci bag! Now I am Chinese, so I try to stay away from Asian motif... (I can write a whole essay on why. ;-) ) but I now think that this bag may be a nice (read: less $$$$) alternative for formal occassions.

Anybody who has seen the bags IRL, could you please help me with color selection? Nearly all of my special occassion clothes are black, and I do have one burgundy outfit that I have been wearing on Christmas Eve for 3 years in a row. (Wow, come to think of it, that's kind of embarrassing. You think people'd notice? :P)

Should I just stick with the black bag? Or could I try something different? the black bag does look kind of sombre to me for some reason. Anybody seen it irl? TIA!

Lin,
You crack me up girl!
I cant really help you with the color selection as I have red, but I just wanted to say that it is my all time favorite bag! It has 3 pockets on the inside (2 for diapers, one for the wipe container), 2 smaller pockets, for sunscreen, ect... two sippy cup pockets on the outside, and a big pocket in the back, where I put my keys, wallet, and mommy stuff. The insid eof the bag is one solid color (the same color as the piping on the outside). I also like the fact that it will clip on a Peg perego stroller and that you have the option of wearing it as a backpack...
Just wanted to make you lust after it even more, LOL!

Any chance you could post some pics of it clipped to your stroller. And also of what it looks like on the inside all packed up?
TIA :-)

>Nearly all of my special occassion
>clothes are black, and I do have one burgundy outfit

I haven't seen any of these bags in real life yet (I'm going to try to see them on Wednesday), but I just went the Nordstrom website and selected the Little Black Dress category. I zoomed in on this dress http://store.nordstrom.com/product/product.asp?styleid=2838665&category=2376776~2374327~2374331~2379788&PrevStyleID=2839434&NextStyleID=2839215 Then in another window I opened the Kecci website. When I put the two together, I think the mint green (which looks light blue in the photo) would look the best with a black dress. Though if you plan on wearing more burgundy, the beige would be a better bet. But if you want to retire that outfit and stick with black for dressy occassions, I'd go with the mint green bag, which has a dressier embroidery on it IMO. That said, I do think the black would also work with the black dress. I think any bag you choose should be worn over one shoulder (or just held) for a special occassion.

Valerie, you evil evil girl. ;-) Thank you for the review though. Maybe I should just get 3 of them. Just kidding!

Hi, thank you so so much for going through all the trouble to help me decide. That's very sweet. I haven't even thought of the mint green, I don't own any green clothing either. I'll have to go take another look at it. Maybe like you I'll try to see them in the store as well. Always welcome a good excuse to go shopping. lol
