Danielle/wdland45-- Did you ever hear anything back from Dinatelli about having a co-op?

If it doesn't work out I'd love to have one of the Canadian moms ( Melissa or Jenn) who saw them pick one up for me :).

I think there would be a few more of us still interested right?

Hi. I spoke to a rep from Dinatelli earlier in the week. He told me there are 8 different diaper bag styles. He is working on getting photos and pricing to me. Since these bags are pretty inexpensive as it is, I don't know how great the discount will be (just a feeling I got from talking to him). I'm sure he will do some discount, I just don't know how much. Once I receive the email with the bag photos and pricing, I will post it here. If I don't hear back from him before Friday, I will "harass" him again. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks.

Just a thought, but maybe he could offer them at "regular" price, and give us free shipping. That's a deal to me! I have a Blue Dinatelli A7 on it's way to me from a very nice Canadian Mommy, but I might go in for more if they are as cute! :)

Yeah, free shipping would be great. I'd buy one (or a few more :)) for regular price and free shipping.

Thanks Danielle for trying to organize it all. I really appreciate it.

I would too. I'd love to get pink - it's not really my color but it would be fun to have if inexpensive.

Heck, I wouldn't care about a discount as long as I had the option of ordering one! They are already cheap, cheap, cheap.

Hey, I'd be interested! I'd like to see what the other styles are...from what I saw at the stores, I've seen 3 'styles' (1 in two different colours though), so am curious! Oh, and if you guys got free shipping, it would be about $15CDN worth (I know, as I have a couple of these bags to mail out! ;-) ), so that's pretty good!

Thanks for doing this!

I received my Dinatelli "Alpha 7" in the mail yday from Melissa, and it's great. I don't own any Fluervilles, and haven't even seen any in person, so I can't compare, but I really like it. If you want a Fleurville but like me, just can't stomach the price, then this bag is for you. Mine is "Blue Rhapsody" and it has a chocolate colored liner and changing pad.

You know, I literally JUST finished packing it up to take pics, then realized that it's not the bag I want, and unpacked it without taking pics, arg! I will tomorrow, I promise! If you like it, I think it will be FS too.

It doesn't have enough interior pockets for me! It has a large one across the back to hold the changing pad, and that has a small zippered slip pocket in it, but it's about 4x6, and too small for my wallet. There are two slip pockets inside the front, one that's perfect for a wipes case, but the other one is cut off about 2-3 inches above the bottom, and the only thing I can fit in it is a sippy cup, which then weighs the side down and makes it all fall over. There's a top-to-bottom very wide bottle/round pocket against one side, which I put my diapers in, for lack of any other posket to hold them. Two outside bottle pockets hold my bottle of water perfectly, but Lucas's sippy cup (Playtex new style) gets totally lost in it, and Dillon's straw bottle (Munchkin) won't even fit thru the opening. They also really cut into the inside space, because they're not the kind of pocket that sticks out a bit on the outside, they're just slip pockets, so anything you put in them "intrudes" on the inside space, and I can't stand that. I also don't care for the NOISY velcro on all the pockets. I'm told that Fleurville has magnetic snap closures, and am *almost* thinking that would be worth the $80 difference in price, lol! Oh, and I also knew this when I ordered it, but the fact that it's got a flap close rather than a top zipper I really don't like.

I really wanted to like this bag, it's so cute, and Melissa went to a lot of trouble to get it to me!

Did you say you have the "alpha 7" version? it sounds like you have the "mothership" version... but I'm not too familiar with Fleurville.

"I also don't care for the NOISY velcro on all the pockets. I'm told that Fleurville has magnetic snap closures, and am *almost* thinking that would be worth the $80 difference in price, lol!"

If you have the Alpha7 knockoff, the real one is going to have velcro too. Only the Mothership has the magnetic closure.

Just to clear up a few things I reread the other Dinatelli thread and it's the Dinatelli "Alpha 7" that has the velcro close like the real Alpha 7 and the Dinatelli "Mothership" has the magnetic closure like the real mothership. I think the velcro would bother me too. I'm hoping to get the "Mothership" though.

And Jessica-- Do you think you can still post pics of your "Alpha 7" bag?

Yes, I'll post pics as soon as I can, I promise! I'd love to see what the pocket-layout is like on the real A7s, if anyone can indulge me!

Jessica, the pocket layout on the real A7's is exactly the same as on the Dinatelli bag (I have an A7, and bought a Dinatelli when I first saw them here and gave it to my friend), with the one difference...the Dinatelli bag actually has an extra zippered pocket against the back flap (does that make sense?). The A7 material is thicker than that of the Dinatelli bag though, but the size of the pockets, as well as the number of pockets is the same (aside from the one extra that I mentioned).

HTH!

...are coming soon! I just dropped off my film of the Fleurville knockoff at Walmart 1hr, and am getting it on CD since my digi's not working now. Unfortunately, I'd picked up a 12 exposure roll by accident, so there are 12 pics of the stroller comparison I did, and then the last shot is one of the packed interior of the Dina A7. I bought more film though, and will take more pics today. I just need a shower first, ICK!

I'm also very interested in either the co-op or working something out with a Canadian mommy.

I'm fairly new here, been lurking for about a week.

I emailed on Thursday but got no response. Then I called again to Canada today. The woman I spoke to told me she will forward my message onto the representative I spoke with on the phone a few weeks back. She sounded very positive and thought working with us would be interesting, but unfortunately, she is not the decision maker about this... When (if) I hear from him, I will post immediately. Wish I had more to report. I will keep trying.

Danielle, LMK if I can do anything...I'm likely a bit closer than you are, and heck, maybe it would be cheaper in long distance charges for me? I'm only about 2 hours from Montreal (in Canada). Just wanted to offer! Or, if I can do anything else!

Danielle, even if there is no co-op, can we order bags directly from them?

Is Dinatelli spelled right? Do they have a website? I can't find anything on google when I type that name? What kind of bags do they do?? Knock-off Fleurvilles? It probably says it somewhere in these posts but I must've missed it. I saw a post that said A7 so I am guessing they do "Fleurvilles".

Thanks.
