This diaper bag looks great - but I'd want this for long trips and going places for the weekend. Is this big enough? Anyone have this bag and think it's not worth it?

Thanks!

I have the new one with the long shoulder straps. I love it for longer outings. It works great for me. :)

I don't have it, but the mom of the baby I watch full time has it and she brings it over every morning. Her's is the one with the shorter straps though. Being as obsessed as I am though I immediately took a bunch of pictures of her bag the first time she left it with me :). It is very big and perfect for an all day outing. I took it with us when we spent half the day at the zoo. It has 6 mesh pockets inside and when you unzip it the bag opens up super wide so you can see everything. The inside lining is light blue (in hers). It has a super huge changing pad that fits in the back outside pocket and a front parent pocket with a stretchy key fob that stretches 2 whole feet so you don't have to unhook your key to lock the door, etc. The only thing that bothers me is that not all 6 inside pockets are the same size. Only 2 of them are big enough to fit a wipes container and I would love it if all 6 pockets were that big. 2 pockets are about 6" wide and the other 4 are about 4" wide. In all my other bags, all the inside pockets are big so I can fit a lot more in them. The only other thing that is sometimes a problem is that it's sometimes hard to zip up the bag when I'm in a hurry since the zipper runs over 2 corners on the bag and going over the curves is sometimes difficult. And oh yeah, with the bottle pockets on the front of the bag I find I can't put sippy cups with the handles in them. If they were on the ends of the bag they would fit better, so I had to carry the sippy cups inside the bag. It's a functional bag though and I've thought about getting one to use as an overnight bag.

Latia,
Thanks SO MUCH for posting the inside pics of this bag! I have the older version, and have been tempted to order the newer one now too, but have hesitated because the LE website only shows the outside view. This really gave me a better perspective on how this bag will work for me, especially when we're out and about with the two boys. Thanks again! Now..pick me a color!

I just found these at our local Sears store in the baby section. If you have a Sears nearby it may be worth checking out, plus it could save you on shipping. The only color my store had was the Navy, but it was the newer style with the longer straps. It is quite large and seems like it would be great for longer trips/weekends. Oh, they also had the small tailored tote in black which I thought was super cute for only $29.50 - and I love the light blue interior. I may be goign back to give it another looksy!

I've checked several Sears around here (Maryland) looking for LE dipe bags for the last month or two, and have never found them there! I may have to call around to see now!

I've never noticed them in my store before, so maybe they are just now arriving. BTW, We'll be passing by your way on our way to the beach this weekend (Fenwick Island, DE). We are staying I think near Greenbelt, MD on the way down. Anything near there I should check out?

I DO, I DO!! For once I have a bag you guys are talking about. This was a gift from my grandmother. I can take more pictures if needed.

I think this is a better bag for longer trips. But I have a bad tendency to overpack and use this one every day. I hope to find a smaller bag that I like and MAYBE I'll stop taking everything with me.

ETA: Not Jessica, but!! . . .

I live near Greenbelt; in the next town over. The only thing close by that's worth checking out is the IKEA in College Park. Email me off the board / through the board if you want any more information about the area. I've lived here longer than I care to think about.

Hi Gretchen,
Thanks, I'll have to check them out this weekend.

I don't know anything about Greenbelt, I'm about an hour north of there (in Carroll Cty, for the other MD Mom who posted), and the only thing I like in Motgomery County is BuyBuyBaby, and ITA, Ikea is surely worth the stop!

Have a safe trip!
