Bumbo Pics

Hi! Some of you have asked for pictures of the Bumbo seat, so here you go! Gabe is 11 months old in these pictures and still fits wonderfully in the Bumbo. It says you can start using it as early as 4 months old, or when the baby has strong head control.

We use the Bumbo inside restaurants, for watching videos inside, and in hotels as a travel highchair. It's 100% foam and wipes clean with a damp cloth, or you can just rinse it off. It's a very strong, dense foam and not floppy or mushy at all, very supportive. They also recommend it for beach use, which I'm excited about trying out. :)

I'd recommend it as a great in-between-seat for that stage where your baby has outgrown the infant car seat but is still too small for a highchair.

I bought it online from www.shophsg.com, but they've raised their prices since I bought it. I'll try to add some side and rear-view pictures so you can get a better idea of this thing!

That chair sure looks comfy! Is there a weight limit for the chair?

I'm actually considering buying this right now and I was about to put an opinion post in the "Around the House" folder.. DD is 5 months old and is just starting to sit unsupported. Sitting is her favorite position at the moment but she's not at the point yet where I feel comfortable moving out of "catching" range.. she still wobbles quite a bit.
Can I ask you if Gabe likes it for playing with toys and whether he can easily reach toys on the floor while sitting in the Bumbo??

It bums me that the prices went up!! Oh well, what can you do :)

He really can't play much with toys on the floor while in the chair, but it works great at tables. Now that he's older and more mobile, he can reach things a little, but it's not really a good play chair.

At that age (5 months) we used the Boppy a lot on the floor with Gabey. We'd seat him in the middle, that way if he lost his balance, his fall was cushioned. :)

yup, I'd emailed the company back when Ian was around 4 months old and the importer said 25lbs weight limit (Ian was already around 19lbs so we opted out)

Wow, I think I have finally seen something that would have been perfect for Avery for travel to the grandmas and other family events. Too bad she is too big for it now.

I may have to get one for her her newest cousin who arrived last week!
