Ahhhhh...SuperTarget. Ahhhhh...diaper bags.

You can never go to the SuperTarget and get ONLY what you stopped in to get. :P I just got a Skip Hop in the orange canvas (not from Target) -- such a happy color. But I'm not sure I like how the bag is proportioned, seems really skinny. It definitely has nicely placed pockets. I told DH that I might send it back. He said he thinks it's a good bag and I should keep it. Can you see where this is going?

Anyhoo, DH has me go to look for a birthday present for his boss' daughter. DH thought she might like a basic, toy-like digital camera to play with -- take pictures during the day, show daddy when he gets home, yadda-yadda. So I'm looking at this tiny camera in the camera section and what'dya know -- the camera bags are right on the next shelf. And there's a stylish looking one made by Samsonite that's black nylon on the outside and a canvas dot pattern inside. It has a strap long enough to wear messenger style. It's got a slip pocket on the outside back also with the dot pattern inside. There is a zippered pocket inside, a small pocket probably for film but a good size for my cell phone. And the best part, it has 4 dividers inside that you can move around (they are attached by velcro) to customize the interior of the bag. If it only had pockets on the outside for a cup and water bottle, it would be perfect. But for $20, I can live with imperfect. I have not been this pleased with a bag-find for a long time.

Wow, now that is a super cute bag! I've never thought to canvas the Target tote racks for a diaper bag. Now I must go down those aisles to see what awaits me.
The *no bottle pockets* on the outside is a bummer for me though. That is my #1 feature that must exist. I don't use it for bottles, but I do carry a water bottle all the time and I like to access it from the outside of the bag.
Great find though. I love the pattern inside.

Ikwym about the skiphop - it is very narrow. However lots of people LOVE it for keeping on the stroller (and it works great for hanging from shopping carts also). The skiphop did not work for me so I returned it. But I did admire it's place in the world of diaperbags!

The bottom is 10.5" x 5" and it's about 10" tall. The dividers do take up some room so this is not a bag for heavy packing. I have in there a couple of dipes, a disposable changing pad, wipes case, sippy, bib, burpcloth, a whole bunch of toys, wallet, change purse, cell phone, and my pea in a pod pouch rolled up. With the pouch, there is no room to spare. Without the pouch, you could put a bunch more stuff in. My pouch takes up about as much room as one of those insulated bottle bags--I'm thinking of the freebie one I got from Similac. Happy shopping.

And to think I just was in Super Target yday and didn't see that! I'm really going to have to go back to look at that, b/c I really like the dividers inside! Thanks for sharing your find, and for the pics!

Well, I went to target tonight and I saw it. It was really cute and I almost got it but in the end I decided not to. The reason was becasue it is a little to small for a young baby (mine is four months) and I'm sure there will be newer options when my DS is older. Anyways, it is really cute, the lining is adorable and my DH liked it b/c it was a camera bag. It has lots of padding b/c it is a camera bag, but that didn't really bother me. Also it has a bottom piece for padding, but it is removable so it makes the bag larger. In short, my opinion is it is a really cute toddler bag for 1-2 diapers, wipes, toys snacks and a sippy cup. HTH

That's too cute. I might just have to head on over to Target and take a look even though I just bought a black LE small tote that is similar in size. Did they only have it in black? It's so fun to find cute inexpensive bags :).
