I read in a thread that someone ordered a WW bag with these Amy Butler fabrics. The Cathdral Ginger Window on top and the Ginger stripe on bottom. I would love to see pictures as I'm considering these fabrics for the WW coop and I also would like to find out if you did some sort of piping in between the fabrics.

Someone posted pix below of their new Ella bag with the Amy Butler fabric on top. Not sure if they used the stripe. But the top fabric was beautiful on her bag. It should be on this page still - titled something about Ella pix. It's a beautiful bag.

Heidi, it might be me that you're thinking of. My bag arrived today and is adorable! I got the two fabrics you pictured with a pink paisley interior & piping (Kim's suggestion). I think it turned out really cute. It is the Katie Bucket bag which is actually a bit smaller than I was thinking but I think the size will be good as a small diaper bag and I might even consider it as a purse (but I'm going to puruse the purses that Kim is coming out with and see if there's a smaller one I like better! :) ). The pockets are all elasticized and are the stripe fabric and fully lined in the paisley. The third pic is a close-up of the pink paisley so you could see it more clearly (the piping is this fabric, too). And, in the cathedral fabric...the blue is more blue IRL than it appears in these pics.

Here are some pics:

Denise-
That is one beautiful bag! I'm lusting after it. :)

I ordered a Sundae Tote with that same stripe (the entire bag) I can't wait to see how it turns out.

That is so pretty. What a great fabric choice. How did you decide which bag style? That's what I'm struggling with.

Denise,

OMG! Your bag is soooo cute! I think that I am definitely going to order a bag in these fabrics. The stripes look darling with the Cathedral. I also love that the pockets are striped!

Thank you so much for posting the pics!

Okay, that does it for me!! I've been looking and looking at these fabrics and now I KNOW I've got to use them! The bag looks great - I would have never even thought about using the pink paisley inside.

I don't know how I'm ever going to decide on fabrics! I love that one too!

Thanks everyone! I really do love it!

As far as bag style, I decided that I wanted a smaller bag since I already have a larger bag for fall/winter. This one is really quite small for a diaper bag. It is about the same size as the Caroline bag that I have from Ella if that gives any of you a better idea. I've been using the Ella as a purse all summer so it's not really large. The biggest downside to using it as a purse is that it's tall and some of the space is unused. If you are looking for a larger diaper bag or one to use for anything more than short trips for one child, I think the Katie will be too small.

The WW bag does have nice deep pockets so I think that helps use some of the "tallness". The key clip is nice, too, because it's a true clip and it's on a nice matching ribbon. As a matter of fact, the green ribbon that is on the key clip would make a nice band around the bag between the two fabrics. :)

Where did you find the pink paisley for the piping and inside fabric? I just ordered this bag with the two main fabrics, but didn't specify an inside or piping color yet. I checked the website but didn't find the fabric.

While this isn't my bag, I was browsing around one of the sites that we were given for co-op, and found this Amy Butler fabric...it looks like it *could* be it, but I'm not positive!

I found it at www.quilthome.com

Thanks for the tip! I found another paisley color that might work also. What do you think about this?? It's really hard to tell if that yellow works or not. I did notice that the picture of the WW bag the colors seemed more muted and not as bright as on the WW website.

It really doesn't match in person. The blue paisley does though.

Thanks, Kim. I thought of the blue, but am really wanting to do a bag in the blue paisley with the striped so I didn't want to use the same fabric on two bags. Maybe I'll just go with the pink - I do really like it. I ordered my bag yesterday (not in the co-op) so I'll just email you about it. Thanks!
