View Full Version : Don't think a Dinatelli Co-op is happening...

I have called, emailed, and called again. The guy in the U.S. that they have "designated" to deal with me is just not responsive AT ALL. I do not know if this is a possibility, but I am now trying to avoid the US representative all together, and work directly with the Canadian office. Most likely, someone in Canada may have to step up and be the "contact". I have left a message with a person I spoke with in the Canadian office, but she is now on vacation until the end of August. So there is no new news on a co-op - only frustrating road blocks. I am so sorry and I wish I had more to report. I will keep trying and will post again whatever the result may be. Sorry.

Danielle,

Are there any websites where we can see photos of Dinatelli bags? I have Googled for these bags in vain for almost a week!

Thanks!

There doesn't seem to be any info out there on the web about them (or no one has found it yet! ;-) ), but here are a couple of threads that do have pictures in them of two of the styles that they make:

I'm more than happy to do what I can on my end (in Canada), that's not a problem. I contacted them last week via email, and am still waiting to hear back. They seem to be pretty slow.

Oh that's too bad :(. I'm still being optimistic though and hoping it will work out. If not, I hope I can have one of the Canadian mommies pick one up for me. For those of you that already received a bag from one of the Canadian moms from here, how much did the bag come out to be with shipping from Canada and what style did you get?

Jen,
Great! Thanks so much for sending them an email. I think if we double team them and HOUND them, maybe they will respond. You are a sweetie!

I got the A7 version in "Blue Rhapsody", and it was $25.25 USD shipped to me. I got it from Melissa in just a few days too!

Hi. Just wanted to let you know that I am still trying to get something going with
Dinatelli. I called my initial contact in Canada (she just returned from vacation). Asked if they will be willing to deal with a mom in Canada since their office in the US has been unresponsive to my requests (I think Jenn (Truska) mentioned she might be willing to be the contact - sorry in advance if I am incorrect about that.) She will bring it up with her boss in the beginning of next week, and I will be calling her back on Tuesday. If the answer is no, the only other thing I can think of is to contact a Walmart in Canada and speak to the buyer for baby items. Maybe I could work something out with them if the manufacturer won't deal. I will keep you posted.

I would love to have a Canada mom pick on up for me since it doesn't look like the coop will work out. This bag just seems like the perfect solution without all the expense. $25 is still a great deal.

WOW! I just read through some of the archived posts - what a stir this bag has created.

That said - if a coop does work out, or if a Canadian Mom is willing to buy them for the US ladies, PLEASE count me in. I would even be willing to reimburse her for her efforts. I would LOVE to have a mothership, but on my budget, there is NO way I can afford it. So this seems like a great alternative.

Thanks for your efforts....I hope the company decides to cooperate.

Hey ladies!

I'm more than willing to help out however I can (I'm in Canada), if you guys want them purchased and mailed out. The one sort of flaw is that we're pretty tight on funds right now (*huge* property tax bill that we weren't expecting to be quite so high), so I'd somehow have to get payment up front and transfer it from my Paypal account (before I purchased the bags so that I could use that to purchase them). I know that likely sounds totally shady, so I would totally understand if others aren't willing to do it. I have sent out two bags to other US Mom's, and while it wasn't quite this way, I think they were happy. And, I have bought and sold on eBay...jmrtgrant on there.

Anyway, the offer is there, but I understand if no one wants to take it! LOL!

I called Dinatelli again this morning and they are not interested at all. If anyone wants a bag, I think the only way to get it is to take Jenn up on her generous offer (or visit a Canadian Walmart!) Sorry, I wish the news was better.

unless they have restocked, they might be sold out. I was in Toronto on business a few weeks ago and went to 4 different WalMarts looking for these. I found one white one at one place and that's all they had. Another had nothing. The third had one of the blue Alpha copy. The last one had a few pink ones.

hopefully they have restocked by now, or in other locations there may be stock. But Toronto was dry, at least at the 4 I went to.

That kind of stinks about the stores in Toronto! I'm just outside of Ottawa, so have several (like 5) stores to pull from! They might laugh at me when I go to the cash, but that's okay!

Ladies, I've emailed you if you've posted in this thread, otherwise, can you guys email me at jmrtgrant @ yahoo.com (no spaces) directly?

Thanks!

ETA: Latia, I got it, and replied!
