I'm a long time lurker here but thought it was time to start posting as I'm getting into the home stretch!
I love the PPB bag but came across this one in my research
http://www.essentialbaby.webcentral.com.au/store/products/item775.inetstore and was wondering if anyone has it or has any first hand experience with the PPB. I like that the Shanghai bag is machine washable, seems like that would be important.
TIA!

I don't have one but I just wanted to mention that you can buy this bag for WAY LESS than $99. That's a rip-off. Do a search for Kecci. And I don't think it's silk.

That's a Kecci- if you have a Nordstrom Rack near you they have the navy for $38. I really want one too, but I'm looking for the chartruse or the mint green. They are sold out on the kecci website. There is a black one on ebay right now too. I think from Kecci they sell for $69.

That is way too expensive! There was a coop for this by Kecci, but they ran out. It was for $37.00. Occasionally, Nordstrom Rack has it. Sometimes, it would show up on the BBBswap or babybags yahoo groups too.

Wow! I'll have to see if I can find it cheaper! For those prices it's worth a shot, right? I think Right Start is carrying them now at $99 too, I'm glad I didn't get ripped off!
Thanks ladies!!!

Yeah, definitely do not pay $99 for that bag! It is a Kecci, and the recent co-op price was $37 shipped! I'm thinking that they plan on honoring that price again when they are back in stock. Or you can try to track one down at a Nordstrom's Rack and have them ship one to you.

But for $99, I'd add an extra $50 and spring for the Petunia! I'm sooooo drooling over that bag. :)

I have a Navy Kecci, and it's super. I think it's a great bag, has good organization...but the quality of materials leaves a little to be desired. It's what I'd expect from a $38 bag, but definitely not a $60+ bag.

Can someone explain to a newbie what the co-op price is? I see the bags on the Kecci website listed at $58 but they're out of stock. I don't see the co-op price anywhere.
Gosh, I have so much to learn!

I got my Kecci at Right Start for $59.99. And I thought that was a pretty good price. It's a great bag!

Jennifer,
I bought both the navy and the mint at the rack a couple of weeks ago and decided to keep the Navy. I was going to return the mint one. Let me know if you want it instead. e-mail me through the boards. I will be out of town for the weekend starting early afternoon tomorrow, but will be back Sunday night.

Hi, I just saw at the Nordstrom Rack near me the black, red, blue and beige one. Check your local Nordstorm Racks by calling them and ask for the Chinese fabric diaper bags in the baby department. (They probably won't know what you are talking about if you ask for "Kecci" diaper bags, kwim?)

It is $36.97 (or so) before tax. WAY WAY WAY cheaper than $99!

Like PPs mentioned, these are not silk at all. They are heavy duty upholstery (SP error I know sorry) fabric, like the ones you find on chairs, heavy curtains in a Chinese restaurant.

HTH.

Thanks Lin,
I called the Nordstrom Rack closest to me today and they didn't have any left right now. I also tried Right Start and BuyBuyBaby, all to no avail. I'm really looking for the chartruse and I got an email today from Kecci that they're now on backorder until end of NOVEMBER! Argh!
I'll be keeping my eyes peeled and I'll keep bugging Nordstrom to see if they come in, their price is great!

Hi,
I asked a representative of Kecci, and here is the response I received:

Thank you for your interest in Kecci and your inquiry about the
Shanghai
MommyBags.
We regret to inform you that current inventory and the contents of the
next
inbound shipment have been sold through.

We will be getting our holiday shipment in Sept. or Oct. containing new
colors and designs for the Shanghai product line. I believe the numbers
will
allow some placement on our website.

In the meantime, we are processing orders for and shipping to the
following
major retailers; Marshall Field's, Spiegel, Victoria Secret Direct, The
Right Start, buybuy Baby, Nordstrom Rack, HSN, Naval Exchange Service,
and
Dillard's Direct.

I am saving emails such as yours and if any of these items become
available,
I will send out a notice to you.

I couldn't find the bag anywhere, so I just bought the beige bag on eBay. It came in the mail a couple days ago and it's beautiful. It's a little larger than I expected, but I am really happy with it, and am really glad that it's machine washable.

Jennifer - call Buy Buy Baby in Scarsdale, NY. Maybe they can mail you a mint Kecci - saw a bunch of them there the other day!
