UPDATE: I just placed an order for a handbag. lol. Thank you all for helping me decide on the fabric!

I just posted the same "call for help" on the WW co-op yahoo group, but thought I should post it here just to get as much help as I could.

I need to stop this madness and cannot spend any more time looking at fabric choices on-line. lol. Help me pick one please? This fabric will be for the interior of a soild black corduroy WW bag. I would like to have the interior fabric to be on ONE side of the straps just to spiff the bag up.

If you don't like any that I picked (I am really not very good at this, so no offense will be taken. lol) please let me know what else you think will work better.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU :)

I have a bunch of different opinions (sorry!)

I don't like the first three - they seem more brownish in color.

I like the stripe (barkcloth?) It adds a bit more punch. I know you were contemplating a monogram - you could do it in the pink color. Also a ribbon closure in pink might also add some color.

Same thoughts for the pink polka-dot fabric. Adds some color, but is a bit more classic - again, with a pink monogram and ribbon closure, would be very classic with a bit of color

If you want to go black and white, I like the Tuxedo swirls - with white trim, monogram, etc.

Just my 2 cents. I ordered a black and white toile bag because I wanted something basic. Now I think I am going to order a second bag with floral fabric because I felt like I needed something more frilly. This is becoming an expensive hobby!!!!

I would go with the Pucci Print, the b/w swirl, or the Eiffel tower. The Pucci Print is my first choice.

I like both of the fashion girls fabrics. Since the outside is a solid, it might be fun to go bold on the inside. I always like the hot pink, orange + white dots fabric.

I like the Miller142 swirly one. I like fashion girls too, but I don't think you'd see much of the pattern on the straps, which is what you'd be seeing a lot of the time. The swirls are more fun. I love the paisleys too--if you were trying to go more "classic" than "funky" paisleys would be my choice, but I think one that has a bit of black in it would go better, rather than the soft colors you have there.

I like the stripes best, then the pink dots second.

I actually like all the fabrics you chose :) For your bag, though, I'd go with a smaller print only because in an area the size of the straps, you won't be able to tell what the larger prints are. I love the Eiffel Tower print, but on a strap, it'll just look like black with white lines. Likewise with the other big prints.

I like the swirls the best.

Hey Lin,

In order, I like:

1. barkcloth
2. miller 103 (pink polka dots)
3. tuxedo
4. miller 106

The first 2 for some color, the 2nd 2 for a "neutral" bag.

HTH!!

Can we say CAPRICIOUS!!!!??? LOL.

Thank you thank you all for giving me your wonderful opinions. I had YET ANOTHER epiphany this morning while driving. :P I just placed an order for a HANDBAG! lol. And right after I told someone that I would never carry a fabric handbag because it is just NOT me. Well, we will see this time.

Because I PLAN to leave the handbag at work, I decided to go with the Bark cloth stripes: conservative yet fun.

Thank you all again for "voting"! I will of course post pictures when I receive it. Now I just need to stop looking and stop second guessing my choice. lol.
