I'm looking for a cute little girly church bag for Mia. Something maybe the size of the updated LE Little Tripper, but pretty. It will need to hold a couple of size 4 dipes, wipes, thin flannel receiving blanket (does double-duty as a changing pad), Playtex straw cup of water, First Years cup of snacks, and some books/toys as well as my small wallet and keys.

Wow.. that doesn't sound so little anymore!

The LT fits everything fine, it's just not pretty enough to go with church clothes, if you know what I mean?

I don't want to spend more than $30-ish if possible.

Any ideas?

Hi Kimberley!

Mia is sooooo precious!

Are you a member of the babybags yahoo group? There is a co-op that just started with bags from 2redhens - they have adorable fabric options - lots of girly ones! The Hen bag is probably the right size and a little bit more than 30... Check the babybags board under the files section for info :)

I have found a few cute bags on ebay. They probably aren't as nice of quality as say WW but for church a few times a week they would work. A friend of mine got a cute Toile bag for under 25 shipped it is really nice. I will see who she got it from.

What about the Whimsical Wears co-op? There are a couple of options under $40. Here's the yahoo address if you're interested: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BBBWWcoop/

What about a pretty tote/purse that would hold it all? Not knowing your personal style, I'll throw out some thoughts. I use a large quilted zip tote for church. It is pretty large, has 6 inside pockets and one outside pocket. I have found that it is very handy for bringing my things, plus a bunch of quiet toys (the older he gets, the harder it seems to make it through a service) and a few snacks for the him. It isn't packed solidly, and if I need to scoot out with ds, there is plenty of room just to throw things back in and deal organizing it later.

The suggestions made were wonderful, there are some great diaper bags at great prices right now through the co-ops. Even hitting your local Walmart, Target, Penneys, Sears, Belk's, Hecht's, etc. and checking their handbag department. Here are some other ideas also:

I love Kim's bags and I think Mia will be getting a WW backpack for preschool next year.

The more I think about it, the more I think my Vera Bradley Villager in Animal Kingdom will work for now. Once Mia's potty trained, maybe then she/we will get a little bucket tote with her monogram for taking quiet things for church and leave the change of clothes in the car.

Thanks, ladies!!
