Well the subject line got all the key words in. On the babycenter site (which is sponsored by j&j) there this bag:

not the mothership she gave away but a much less expensive, not quite as nice looking bag. Just thought it was interesting. What do you guys think?

I think this bag has been mentioned here before.

Actually, I like the looks of this better! (I'm a sucker for stripes...)

It could be an inexpensive way to try out the MS to see if you would like it. Then if you did, you could spend much more to get a (probably) better quality bag.

I personally think it's tragic when a product gets knocked off. Working in Oracle Systems for years, we were ripped off quite often. It was always disappointing when your team would work on something inventive for so long, then have someone come in to ride the wave of your innovations. I see feel the same way about Kecci knocking off Petunia Pickle Bottom. These companies see to lack moral in my book.

I have no intent to start quarrels with anyone, I just thought I would express my feelings.

It was mentioned here before. I think Maureen (khakismom) got a pink stripe version and really likes it.

I think it's a cute looking knock-off. However, I am not the fan of the stripes, esp the colors they offer that bag in. If they had other colors, I would actually consider getting it (I should slap myself on the hand, I have too many bagggggs!). :P

Looks really cute, sounds very functional, and it's totally cheap - I'd go for it!! :)

I don't care for the look of it. I think it's the stripes that I don't like so much. I just received my red mothership and love how simple and classic it is, although I have previously owned the pink stripe and purple swirl as well.

FYI- BuyBuyBaby is carrying these bags if you want to see them in real life. Personally, I think the Motherships and Timi & Leslie's look a lot nicer, but they're also a lot more expensive!!!!

I'm pretty sure I've seen them at Baby Depot (Burlington Coat Factory). I also think they were a better price at Baby Depot.

I went to the Oprah website & it showed all of the stuff that was given away, and they are showing them as actual Fluerville Motherships in 3 different colors, not a knockoff.

There was a thread about another bag that is a knock off of the fluerville. It ended up turning into a debate, someone felt it was unethical and others said they thought it was no big deal.
