What do you think about this product?

I need something for shopping carts and restaurant high chairs. This looks about the same yet much cheaper than the one sold in BRU.

Let me know if you have one or what you think. Thank you!!

I just got one made via Sew Cute Boutique. Cathy does an amazing job and is wonderful to work with. Initially when I started to look I thought $35 was a lot of money for a cover. But I started to see the difference in the quality and I realized I'll use this for at least a few years. So I wanted something that would wear well and survive the many washings Not only will the cover fit carts (even the large ones at Sam's Club and Costco and high chairs, but it so plush and also has lots of extras like a pillow and toy loops. I had one made as a gift & the mom I gave it to is just raving about it. You can find her at www.sewcuteboutique.com You'll also find lots of previous messages with her work.

There are lots of great shopping cart covers available on Ebay. If you do a search you should come up with a few of the different sellers (mostly WAHMs).

Just warning you - once you start looking at all the different ones, it gets harder and harder to decide! The one you posted a link to seems really similar to others I've seen, and the price is good.

I purchased one from Ebay seller Jade Penni and it fits pretty well on shopping carts and high chairs. For me the biggest factor was whether or not it was padded. I ended up going with a non-padded one since compactness and easy folding were really important to me.

Good luck deciding, and post some pics when you make up your mind :)

I purchased the one from BRU, the Floppy Seat. It seems fine. DS is happy in it. I know it was a bit pricey...but I just wanted to get something ASAP. DS just recently started sitting in the cart & I about LOST it when he started sucking & chewing on it (throw up city!!) So, I just bit the bullet & got one.

i have the floppy seat, too, but will probably buy one from a WAHM for #2 (whenever that happens!) since i don't like the fabric very much and when i bought mine at BRU there was only one choice.

I was just out on the Sew Cute website. Thanks so much for the tip. I bought a cover at BRU out of desparation, but will return it (haven't used it yet) because I LOVE the stuff out on the Cathy's website. Also, what a great idea for a gift! I would have loved to have gotten one. Thanks again!

I just ordered one from Cathy. She's been a doll to work with!

I received my cover from Cathy a few days ago. I've used it on a shopping cart and high chair. It is fantastic. One of the waiters even came up to me tonight asking about it. He now plans to get one for his nephew! DH was very impressed with how it fit on the highchair.

I have one from www.snazzybaby.com. She did a coop discount when I ordered mine. I love it, but since she has raised her prices and I probably wouldn't pay that much now if I didn't already have one.

We bought the one from BRU as well - the Floppy Seat. I really like it because it's padded.

I've seen the Snazzy Baby ones, those are so nice looking.

I echo all the positive comments about sewcuteboutique and highly recommend buying a cover from this business! Cathy was wonderful to work with and made me a custom cover with the fabric I picked. Attached is a picture of the very cute cover.

I originally thought a cart cover seemed a little over the top and unnecessary, but I love it! Arabella (7.5 months old) loves to chew on things and would absolutely chew on the cart handle--yuck!

Your cover looks SO CUTE!!!! Where did you get that fabric?

I love how padded and pouffy it is! It looks like a cloud!

Thanks! My daughter seems to think it is very comfy.

I got the fabric from thecottonshop.net. Can't remember the name of it, but it comes in white & baby blue. I believe it was a Michael Miller fabric.

I've got this one...

http://www.babyalacart.com/about.shtml

It is really padded, nice, and fits all carts well. I haven't tried it at Costco yet (apparently their carts are the biggest) and the website says that if you shop their occassionally, you can make do. But if you are a frequent shopper to Costco, you can order a larger size that will fit the carts.

Looks like they have one and looking at the pic, it rolls up into a little pouch when not needed. I can't comment about any padding - I would assume not though. www.2redhens.com

It is actually Alexander Henry, not Michael Miller and it is called "at the petting zoo"

Thank you also for all of the great reviews and pics. I ended up going with the one from Cathy at sewcuteboutique. I did a search on this board and found a tremendous amount of positive reviews for her. After trying to find a cute material pattern I ended up just getting the Unisex# 3044 (Blue Zoo) pattern she has on her website. It was really cute and similiar to what I was looking for anyway. I figured that patten might last me through my 2nd when I have one. She is shipping it next week....I can't wait to see it and use it. I will try to post some pics when it gets here.

Thanks,
Shannon

I got my cover. It is much larger than I expected but I am sure I will love it. I am going to the store tonight so I will see how it works. Here is a pic.

Hi - Very cute cover!

I posted earlier about this, but figured you'd be a good person to ask directly since you just got a cover from Cathy. After you try it out at the store, can you let me know if you think the leg openings run large, so a child's legs would still touch the cart? (I'm trying to avoid that!) Thanks!
