I like to rotate bags pretty regularly but don't have a good method for keeping them organized. Right now they're all on top of an old changing table in a work room off the garage, with various gear (blankets, clothes, bibs, etc.) strewn around.

Anyone have any good ways to keep bags and gear handy? Storage cubbies? Hooks? Shelves? I'd love to hear what others do.

Many thanks!

I'd like to hear too. Right now all of my bags are stored on the bottom shelf of our changing table. They are getting quite cramped there, but our house is so tiny there really is no other space to put them. My closet alone is the size of a coffin!

I have a large bookcase with cubbies that I put in my son's closet...sort of like this one...

Not quite as big, but you get the idea. A few of the cubbies hold my diaper bags, and then the other's have his toys, clothes, some parenting books/magazines, etc. Jonah's room was my "craft room" before he came along, and I had to condense all of my crafty things once we started the nursery. So, I had no idea what I was going to do with this bookcase, I wanted it out of the room, but I still wanted to use it...and then I thought of the closet. DH thought I was so weird at first, but now he sees how organized the closet is!! LOL I love it, because I actually use more of the closet space since I have the shelves, and I can see all of his pants folded in the cubby, without having to dig through a drawer...same with my bags. I probably wouldn't use them all if I had them stuffed in my own closet or somewhere else. But the fact that I can see them all sitting there, reminds me to use them! And they look so nice, it is almost as if they are on display! LOL

I love that idea!
My extra bags are lying on the floor of my son's closet...with a bunch of other "stuff" that I need to organize!
He actually has two closets in his room, both with sliding doors. I think some shelves in one of them is just what we need!!!

I would love one of those shelves on wheels! Where did that come from?

I keep all my bags on hooks along the wall in the walk in closet of my guest room closet. It's not a big closet at all but the person who lived here before just hung up 3 hooks so all my bags/purses are there. Makes use of space. I copied the idea in stairwell to my basement/garage so coats/bags hang there too. You could do this behind the door to a closet too. I like to hang them up as opposed to being on the floor because I tend to pile things in and would crush them (you know that mad dash to pick up and hide before company comes over?!?!!?)

I love my under the bed boxes. They are big enought that they hold a whole bunch of bags, and just slide them out when I need to change bags and are nice and flat. I also keep an open one
on my shelf in the closet that hold my collection of handbags.
Which, of course are in retirement for a while :)

It is sad but true that I just rearranged our hall closet to accomodate my diaper bag collection. DH was getting sick of looking at them all. It's a fairly deep closet so they can all fit on the floor but I think I'm going to install a series of hooks (vertically) and hang them from the wall in there.
