Any recommendations? I never get to visit this forum, so I'm so out of the loop with bags, but I have a Loom Marsupial as my sole bag and I need a smaller bag for smaller outings (to carry a beverage, snacks, sweater, one diaper & wipes). The loom is just too big now for runs to the park or whatever.

My Wish list:

- I know I definitely want a bag that stands on its own
- preferably not too "floppy"
- definitely not a backpack
- small-medium size
- probably a tote would work

TIA for any recommendations.

Have you checked out www.chesterhandbags.com ? They have some adorable totes that are not too big and, I believe, they stand on their own. Regular-priced bags go for $124 but if you click on the sale page, that have quite a few totes for $60. HTH!!!

You could try the lands end medium microfiber tote...I have the large and had the small. The small stood on its own, but was just too small to fit my stuff and diaper changing supplies for my 18 month old. The medium is a new one they recently started carrying and it sounds like it is a good size. The large bag kind stands on its own when stuff is in it, but it is really big, but I wouldn't say it is floppy.

If you are looking for a bag that is not boring and don't want to pay tons for something like a PPB, I have been very pleased w/ ebay seller clutterbags...she makes her own bags from designer fabrics, they stand on their own, and she's got some really nice fabric choices. I have one bag from her already, and I am having her make me a custom bag w/ a zippered top and exterior pocket. the janine king bag might meet your needs: http://stores.ebay.com/Janine-King-Designs

i don't have one of her bags, but i posted about her stuff last night to see what people said. the feedback i got is about the backpacks, but you don't want one of those so maybe this would work for you? JK also has a clearance link in her store with some great prices!

let us know if you find something you like!
