Denim Skip Hop!

Have you all seen this? Or am I just late to the game on this one? I didn't realize there was a denim skip hop, it is really cute! I would have gotten this one for sure. I just saw it today at a local store, but I couldn't get ANOTHER skip hop! (LOL, don't think I didn't try to justify it!) I wonder if it will soften up with each wash, like a pair of jeans?!
If anyone was looking for a skip hop, I think this is a great option!!

I've never seen it and it doesn't appear to be on their website. Although, the price of the corduroy ones has been raised on the skiphop site. Is it a light or dark denim?

It was more dark than light, kind of a dark wash denim. Hmmm...that is strange that it was at the store, but not on their site yet. Of course I will never see it again, LOL.
It was $58.

Thanks for posting.I noticed the side pockets are different and it's higher priced.I like the denim but not sure about the pocket change.

That is strange, there is a big price difference between those 2 websites. $60 at babybox and $76 at strollandgo. Wow! It was $58 at the local shop where I saw it. I may have to head back down there!
I didn't really notice the difference in pockets, I was more interested in the other bags they had.

I'm pretty sure that www.expressivetoys.com has the Denim in stock. Worth a shot becauase Jen from Expressive is a great person to work with...very helpful!

I have been wanting to get a Skip Hop because of all the great reviews everyone on this board has given it. I had been debating on which color to get. After seeing pictures of the Denim Skip Hop, I had to have it. I think it is so cute. I placed my order yesterday and can't wait to get it.

I have not jumped on the Skip Hop bandwagon because it did not think it would be big enough for an infant and toddler (and, frankly, did not think the bag was all that cute), but I LOVE the denim. I will have to have that. Grrr.

Mariana, can you fit a Tall Starbucks coffee (OK, actually a decaf tall soy latte) in either of the side pockets???? Or a Grande iced coffee cup (OK, I confess, a decaf grande no whip mocha frappuccino)????? The mesh pocket on the canvas bag fit both!!

I'm not sure about the Starbucks cups, but I doubt it. I can *snuggly* fit in our Sponge Bob straw cup. I think the mesh holder is a lot larger than these new pockets.

I'll post some comparison photos once I locate my digital camera!

Just my 2 cents... I just saw the Denim Skip Hop at my local BBB (NYC). After seeing pix of it here and on the web, I was totally sold. But now having seen it in person I'm not so crazy about it. The fabric is very stiff and unforgiving, although I'm sure it will loosen up a bit over time. The main thing that bothers me are the side pockets. As mentioned above, they switched the adjustable mesh bottle pocket on one side for a pocket that is all denim and less flexible. The pocket on the other side is much deeper than the original. I like the original shallower pocket for my cell phone or other items that I want accessible and that I don't have to dig around for. As much as I love the denim fabric, I'm going to go for the corduroy version (red) instead.

Does anyone know if the pocket change specific to the denim Skip Hop, or is that one of the changes for the "new" models? Is the denim the first of the new models? If so, are there other changes? TIA

Will the side pockets fit Avent bottles?? The pic with the bag over the woman's shoulder almost makes it look as if one of the narrower bottles fills up the pocket??

Is the interior denim, or is it lined??

Also, for those mom's that are wanting room for Starbucks cups, could you fit one in one of the larger, front pockets?

Okay, I'm working on the photos...finally! In the meantime, here are answers to your questions:

Yes, the bottle pockets will fit Avent bottles! It's a perfect fit, not too tight, not loose. The bottle pockets also have a nylon lining, so getting items in and out is nice and simple.

Yes, you can fit a Grande Starbucks cup in the FRONT pockets. I sacrificed myself and bought a Grande Peppermint Hot Cocoa just to test it out. Oh, what a sacrifice. ;)

The interior is lined in red nylon. Honestly, this is my most favorite thing about the bag! It's gorgeous and makes me smile every time I open my bag.

Well that just sealed the deal for me!! I'm getting a 2005 P3 in Black Sable (black/silver & RED piping) and have been debating b/w the red or the denim...that's just the best of both worlds!!

I received my Denim Skip Hop and love it! I kept reading about all the positive reviews that everyone posted about the Skip Hop. I was going to get a Corduroy one, but I thought that might be too seasonal. Well, then the Denim one came out. It is so cute!

Now, I know what everyone who loves this bag is talking about. I am a light packer with a newborn and a 3 year old, but my backpack diaper bag always seemed to be bulging with hardly anything in it. The Skip Hop looks like there is nothing in there. The organization is great with all the pockets and the inner lining is red so no black hole here.

The only thing I don't like about the bag is the velcro closures. I think I'll take another poster's idea about getting more velcro tabs and covering them. Maybe the new ones will have magnetic closures.

I'm so excited about this bag that I can't wait to see what the new Skip Hops will be like.
