I'm Still Me - question

I would like to buy an I'm Still Me bag as a gift for a co-worker due with her first. Would you recommend the Large or the X-Large tote for a new mom?

I have an XL and I wish I had the large. I heard the Large isn't large enough for some. But I find that XL is kind of wasted space and causes me to be unorganized. It is such a tall bag, so I am able to fit a ton in it, but all the extra stuff you fit in it covers the pockets. So when I need something, I have to dig down to the bottom of the bag and empty all the clothes out on top to see what is in the bottom. I think it would be better designed if the pockets weren't at the very bottom of the bag. I think it is a better beach bag for me. I like bags that are less deep for everyday use. I would also suggest getting the elastic pockets if you can. The pockets are very floppy without the elastic.
