I have read raves about the Timbuk2 bags, but am hoping someone can post more information and pictures....

For those of you who are using a Timbuk2 as a diaper bag:

1. What size do you have?

2. What are your likes/dislikes?

3. Can you please post pics of your bag packed and maybe some comparison pics to your other diaper bags?

I haven't seen any pics of these bags at all on the board, so I'm looking forward to your replies!! :-)

TIA!!

Windy

Here is a link to my review with pictures of the two bags I bought, I got the small messenger and a Mini Metro.

The Metro is for sale if anyone is interested.

I recently purchased a Timbuk2 Graphic Medium Messenger from ebags.com. I was going to wait for the co-op, but I got too impatient (real issue with me and bags!).

1. Medium Graphic Messenger Bag
2. Likes:
Huge! I can put anything and everything into it. I haven't even stuffed it to capacity but it now has:
-Diapering Pouch with 2 size 4s and 1 size 5 Huggie, Purell, wipes, and thin diaper changing pad
-3 snack cups of varying sizes and a Snak-trap
-Loom Watermelon Clutch
-2 Timbuk2 Accessory Pouches (these things rock!)
-Insulated Bottle holder
-Blanket
-Various think books and toys

Love the graphic print and the fact that it stands up on it's own.

Easy to wear and doesn't interfere with holding my baby and/or toddler.

Straps can be extended to fit over handlebars of any stroller.

There are a lot of smaller organizational pockets in the front interior. Perfect for mom stuff!

Will have a life after the kids.

Durable and lined well (waterproof lining in orange)

Dislikes:
It's heavy! Even when not loaded to the fullest.

Sometimes a little bulky as a shoulder bag.

Other than the front interior pocket, the interior organization leaves a lot to be desired, since it's one big open space. It's not so bad when you have a fair amount of stuff (everything sort of holds everything else in place). But with a few items, things get jumbled around. If you customized the bag at www.timbuk2.com, you can get an interior pocket sewn in, which I heard helps. OTH, having that open space is great for big books and toys.

Love the bag, but it's no substitute for a smaller "everyday" bag. I carry this on the weekends when I know the family will be out for over 4-5 hours. I've shown pics comparing it to an OiOi Messenger and a SkipHop.

I have both a small and a medium Timbuk2. The medium is huuuuge - we use that on airplane trips when we are packing tons. Otherwise the small suits us just fine for several hour to day trips. I really like both bags and don't have any specific complaints. They are too big IMO for errands and such, so I have a LE LT that I carry day to day.

I have a Medium (formerly El Ocho), a Small (formerly Pee Wee) and a Metro Mini.

The Medium is freakin' HUGE!! I'll attach a photo of my Fleurville Mothership inside (and also beside) the Medium T2 to give you an idea of the size!

I like the Metro Mini for quick trips and summer use, when I don't need to pack much. Here are some photos of it beside a LE LT and fully packed.

I really did like the Small I got through the co-op in the summer, until I got an Ameribag Tote, which is lighter and has better organization.

I don't particularly like the strap on the Medium or the Small. I do have a strap pad, but its still too bulky and stiff for my liking.

I always get compliments on the Pink Metro. I will be able to use it as a travel purse post-baby. My Small Messenger is black/grey/silver and I will be able to use it for work post-baby.

Hi, I have a timbuk2 small messenger and it is my favorite diaper bag.

Great size for short outings and longer ones.
Front section is great for my wallet, cosmetics, phone and small items. No other bag I have has a perfect mom section like this. I don't have a divider so no other organization, but its fine b/c everything just fits into place. One thing I wish the bag had was a bottle holder, inside or outside. The strap is awesome.
If you would like, I can try to email or post pics.
