My first mama-made diaper bag...

I finished this one a few weeks ago, and finally have pictures of it to show off. It's a red corduroy diaper bag with an apple blossom lining. It has an outer bottle pocket on each end, and a slip pocket on the front. The inside has four pockets, 2 on each side, and all are sized just right for a few diapers (my DS is in a 4) or a wipes case. I got a pic of it next to my LE new LT for size comparison. The LT is up for sale if anyone's interested. Here's some pics. :)

I'm impressed! That red cord is gorgeous! I really need to take sewing lessons (although even with lessons I'd NEVER be able to sew that!).

It looks beautiful.Great job.It feels good making something,I know how excited I was w/the bag I made last Summer.Now I need to get busy sewing another that I bought corduroy for but probably will have to wait till after the holidays.What pattern did you use?

The pattern is McCalls 4403, and if you search it on sewingpatterns.com, it's the bag in the top right of the picture. I modified it quite a bit, lengthening the straps, added the inside pockets, and did my own thing with the base inside. It was very very easy, and I'm hoping to have time to make one more for a holiday gift for a good friend. :)
