View Full Version : Slightly OT, but since it's been mentioned here - Disposable changing pads?

I was looking for these today at BRU, but wasn't sure what I should be looking for. I found a 4-pack of Huggies brand, and they were nice and big, and then a much larger pack of another brand, but they were only 13x19. Do they sell ones like Huggies in larger packages? I'm sorry if this doesn't belong on this board, but with all the diaper bag talk, I've seen them mentioned several times on this board and figured it'd be a good place to ask. TIA!

I use the Huggies, and I've been really happy with them. They're very sturdy and the size is good too. I've never seen them in packages larger then 4 though. I usually just stock up when they're on sale, as they are a bit pricey...but SO convenient when you're on the go!

I use disposable changing pads when on the go--like in the malls--places where I do not feel comfortable using my changing pad and then folding all the germs back into my diaper bag.

I buy mine at a CVS/target store. I use the underpads that are used to protect beds--used in hospitals and they are 23"by36". Come in a pack of 18, and cost is about $4.00.

I need something big enough to cover a changing area, and I find these work well, and not too costly.

Lots of people use the surgical type which are much cheaper! You can also get a flannel backed plastic table cloth and cut it into whatever size you would like. IMO the Huggies ones are too costly for regular use.

Thanksgiving tablecloths should be on clearance now. We got Christmas ones last year before going to China. Paid $0.25 a piece at WalMart in the big bins near the checkout lines. Can't beat that price!

We also use the disposable incontinece pads and they are AWESOME!!! I used to use the Huggies disposable pads, but they are too expensive and like a pp said you can get a big package of incontinence pads for only a few dollars. The pads are very big (will cover an entire public changing station) and I don't feel bad throwing them away after one use in a nasty public bathroom. You can find them in the isle where they sell Depends and other incontinence products. This is one of the best tips I ever heard of on these boards.

Here's the kind I have. They're 23" by 36" and you can also buy them smaller or larger. They are $5.99 for an 18-pack :).

I get the Especially for Baby brand at BRU. They come in large packs and are much cheaper than Huggies. Not padded or anything, but gets the job done.

I've tried some other brands, but I am buying only the huge Huggies padded ones from now on! They are, hands down, the best in my opinion!
