just wondering if anyone has photos of the interior (empty and/or full with baby stuff) of the following diaper bags. i'm a visual person, so i really wanna see how much stuff i can really put inside these. also, i'm into baby bags that have great organization. photos would definitely be helpful to see that. thank you so much.

* LOOM Marsupial
* BUMBLE BAG Jessica Messenger/Backpack
* SKIP HOP -- i know this is very popular with mommies here. i don't think i've seen any photos of the interior of this bag.
* OI OI Messenger bag

I can't believe I can actually respond to this post! I told DH I finally have a complete bag collection and he said, I'll believe it when I see it. Wise man!

I have the Bumble Bag in the Nicole, which is a smaller version of the Jessica. From what I understand, the interior organization is identical, just a little smaller.

So it's Bumble Bag, Skip Hop, Oi Oi, and Marsupial, Bumble filled (shot got kind of messed up).

I should add that I love all my bags for different reasons (they serve different purposes, really!). But the best overall is my Marsupial. I am a total organization freak, and this bag has allowed me to not use so many little organizer bags (I love the clear zip pouches from Timbuk2 for that), since it's well organized on the interior. Space is a little tight, because of the structure of the bag...but it makes it so easy to pull things in and out. And by far, I think the Marsupial has the best sippy/bottle holders out there!

i'm so jealous that you have all those baby bags...cool baby bags!!! ;-)

http://www.weddingchat.com/images/smilies/bow.gif OMG, i love how organized your diaper bags are. http://www.weddingchat.com/images/smilies/bow.gif i'm just not quite sure which bag is what. i can see that the one with green interior is the OiOi.

thanks for posting those photos. if you other bag photos to share, please do (even if it's not on my list). oh speaking of other bags, i'm really curious how big your collection is. what other baby bags do you own?

anyhoo, thanks again! :-)

Thanks for the compliments. The bags you see are all that I have in line of diaper bags, which is why I was so amazed that you asked about those specific bags! :) I have a Timi & Leslie Mia Backpack on the way (to satisfy the "I probably need a backpack") from the co-op and a Medium Graphic Timbuk2 which is awesome for the plane and long car trips.

Sorry...I meant to mention that the order I wrote in was the order the bags appear. So the Bumble Bag has the brown interior (first and last photo), the OiOi is obviously the lime green interior, the red and black is the skip hop and the green exterior bag is the Loom Marsupial.

Good luck on your "search"! :)

Can you do a side by side picture of the Skip Hop & the Marsupial? I'm debating between these two bags. I love the organization of the Marsupial - especially the sippy cup/bottle holder, but am worried it's too big to fit in my stroller basket. Do you find you bump into things when you carry it on your shoulder? It just seems so wide. How does the organization of the Skip Hop compare to the Marsupial?

I'll try to take side by sides later today. I have a dental and doctor's appointment - yuck!

I have a Peg Perego Aria Twin, not the biggest baskets (they are wide but not that deep) and the Marsupial fits nicely into it. Because of the structure, it doesn't get "stuck" on anything. Now opening it while it's in the basket is another issues LOL! :) I primarily carry it as a messenger (I'm 5'2" and carry it so that it's more on my back - like a real messenger style). I don't bump into anything and it doesn't get in the way as often as my OiOi carried the same way. I have it on the 3rd set of holes (there are 5 sets on the strap), so if you are on the shorter side, you may be able to play with it a little. On my shoulder, I don't bump into things either. It's hard to describe...it's big, but well designed.

Skip Hop to me is more of a deep bag/hole. I have the "old style" - there is soon to be a new one next year. Also, the denim skip hop, which has gotten a lot of write-ups lately seems slightly different. On mine, there are two, tall interior pockets, but that's about it! Most of the organization is "around" the bag...two top zippered compartments, the two large pockets in the front (can hold an insulated sleeve for bottles), and the long, deep sleeve in the back for the changing pad. There's a mesh pocket which is great for any sized sippy or beverage container.

The Marsupial is the better bag for organization IMO :)!

side by side of the skip hop (red) and marsupial (green). I stuffed the skip hop a little so you can see how it can expand. I won't lie to you - the marsupial is wide, but it is managable. I just love it's interior organization so much, I am willing to put up with it being a slightly wider bag...

OOO I love that Loom bag - I've never seen one in real life, and your pics really make it appealing to me. I like the size and shape (not too deeeeep) and the interior layout.

Thanks for sharing these!

THANK YOU! I haven't been on the boards for a few days, so this is the first I got to see your latest pics. The sbs comparison really has me leaning towards the Marsupial, but oh that big price tag. :( It really doesn't seem that much wider than the SkipHop. Which one holds more? I think the deeper bag would make it more difficult to find things.

Thanks again.

You can sometimes find a great deal on the yahoo baby bag swap board. I know that there is a robin's egg blue, a black, and a moss green available! Much easier than dealing with ebay and you won't get as frustrated by last minute bidding!

I was an idiot, thought I didn't like the Marsupial and then tried one IRL. It's so much nicer than the pictures! Took a chance on the avocado and I love it :)...they have a mandarin orange coming in January too.

Remember, the SkipHop in my photos was stuffed. It can have a smaller footprint because the bag is not as structured as the Marsupial. I can stuff more in my SkipHop, but that's because we have lots of food containers these days (my kids are big into snacking - like their mom!). Since I have the red SkipHop, I don't have the black hole effect, but it IS more difficult to find things because it's deeper. The SkipHop gives you more flexibility because it's a messenger, shoulder, or stroller bag. The Marsupial is fine for me as a shoulder and messenger bag (I'm 5'2"), but I have to put it in the stroller basket when we go out on longer trips. I can't find a comfortable configuration for the stroller that allows for easy on and off.

For two kiddies, the Marsupial doesn't have a ton of space for all-day excursions. We keep a bag with extra diapering supplies in the car. But if you are a light to medium packer, this bag should be fine. I love the organization..

Hi, I'm in search of yet another diaper bag...
How do I find the yahoo baby bag swap? Is it in groups?
TIA, Lisa

Hopefully, you can pick it up in this link:

Check out the Database under Bags for Sale...There are three marsupials and a bunch of other good deals! :)

Thanks. If you could choose one bag, would you get the Marsupial or Skip Hop? DS is 1, so I usually carry a few diapers, wipes, snack containers, sippy cup, bottle of water, clothes, toys, maybe a book or 2.

Thanks for the link to the group. I submitted a request to join. Hoping to treat myself to a new bag for Christmas.

Boy, that's a tough one...the practical side of me says the SkipHop. They are very tough, good "stuffing" factor (can hold lots), and have a great price tag (I'm thinking of the canvas ones that average about $50). But the girly/bag-lover side really leans towards the Marsupial. The colors are great and the interior organization makes it such an easy bag to access things.
And I picture the Marsupial has having more use after baby....

So you spend more time out and about in the stroller and really don't carry that much stuff, I would vote for the Skip Hop. The Marsupial may be overkill for a few items. Also, depending on how you wear your bags, you may vote for one over the other (Marsupial is a great shoulder bag, but I have heard on some folks that the messenger style isn't that comfortable).
