PPB Backpack + Dry Cleaning

Anyone have any success with this? My boxy backpack is in desparate need of a bath but I've hear mixed reviews on dry cleaning this bag. Any suggestions? Thanks!

A while back (I think in September or early October of 2004), someone posted that they got their PPB dry cleaned (the label says dry clean only), but the bag didn't dry clean well (sustained some sort of damage). The poster contacted PPB, which claims to guarantee their bags (although it's a meaningless guarantee, if you read it carefully), and PPB told the poster that they would not repair or replace the bag because if it didn't dry clean well, it was the cleaner's fault.
