I want a new diaper bag. I currently have the LE Little Tripper and LE Do-It-All. I use the LT for every day and it holds most everything. I put in it: 3 cloth diapers, a diaper cover, wipes, an outfit change, food, bib. I don't use the front section of the bag at all.

The DIA is only used on all day or longer trips. It's just too big for normal use.

I also carry a purse.

What I want:
1. Holds more than the LT - starting to need snacks, sippy cups, toys, etc.
2. Not huge like the DIA
3. Can double as a purse.
4. Doesn't cost a fortune. I'm willing to go up to about $75.

It doesn't have to have lots of pockets. I've taken all the zipper pocket things out of ones I have. I rarely use the mesh pockets.

My purse is simple - a center section to hold my cell phone, PDA, and small wallet. A front zip close section with pockets for cards (library, Sam's Club, etc), and sections for cash, receipts, coupons. A back zip section for things like hand lotion, tape measure, hand wipes. I could see putting these things into a small bag and in a large open section.

It'd be nice if I could carry it as a purse, even when I'm out without DS.

Any idea of what I want? I guess, even if it's more expensive, I'd be curious to see what's out there.

ETA: I also don't like flaps over the top of bags/purses. I want direct access to the zipper!

Thanks!

I was thinking a Posh By Tori may be a good fit. It has a zipper top, no flap, is super cute, and has some pockets inside. You can find some on sale online, they are normally $120+ though.

Oh, and the Dobre Goods Bambino tote! Cute bag, good pockets, zipper top, durable and affordable!

If you can handle a magnetic closure, the Timi and Leslie Small Bebe bag is a great one too. Lots of organization, very pretty, and a great size. They are normall $100+, but there are some re-sales on the Babybags Swap.

You can also design your own bag at www.ella-bags.com. You can have up to 6 great pockets inside, zipper closure, and your choice of some great fabrics. Definitely in your price range, plus there's a 20% off code through 1/31. I'd recommend the Elaine size.

Oh! Chester! Definitely the Chester Classic Diaper bag! You can get one for $60 on their sale page, www.chesterhandbags.com. Great bag, holds a lot, feels small, kinda purse-like, zipper top, no flap. It even has a built-in cosmetic baggy for holding your smaller stuff.

Have fun!

Thanks for all the suggestions. Right now, maybe the LL Bean one looks best. Some of the others look really good, but the fabric choices are just not me. I'm plain old boring black or at least not funky.

In any case, I now have a lot more sites to check out to find that perfect bag.

Lori - Is this bag larger than the LT? I didn't go to look at the measurements, but have looked at the bag online before. Do you have one?

Andrea, I just ordered a medium tote last night. The measurements show it to be a little bigger than the LT (which is good - I can't quite fit what I need in the LT). I'll let you know how they compare when I get it - can't beat the price!!

Lori - I'd love it if you'd let me know how it compares....size wise and shape wise. I wasn't happy w/ the shape of the LT and this one looks to be similar. It drove us crazy that ours got kind of top-heavy. I'll be interested to hear what you think. Thanks!
