View Full Version : Aren't there ANY spring/summer diaper bags that are a small messenger?

It seems the only SMALL shoulder strap bags are the Little Trippers and the New LLBean Bag, but those are so sporty. I want something fashionable and fun, but not babyish. If this baby in my tummy were a little girl, there are more choices it seems, but so much of it is GIRLY. I don't want people to conclude that the pink swirl diaper bag on my shoulder means the infant in the stroller is also a GIRL...

Tote style must be a HUGE thing right now, but I'm not into it. Since when is a tote a convenient bag for every day?

There are *many* LARGE bags that are adorable - fleurville and Timi and Leslie bags, but they are BIG... The alpha7 seems hard to find and is more classic styling. The only small T and Ls I see are totes.

Am I looking for the impossible? With all of these options out there???

Here are some links of "big" bags I like, but I already have a big bag and I don't want to be hauling a big bag around for errands!

Any thoughts about things I might like that are PURSE sized?

Melissa

Totally agree! I recently got mine and love it! It's small and cute without being super girly. :) It's hard to find a cute, small messenger...so I had hubby buy me a second one for Valentine's Day.

These are cute (though I'm not into asian style prints), but they aren't small are they? The pictures make them seem HUGE!!!

As I responded in the post, is it small? The pictures of the messenger are BIG bags!!! Am I missing something? Do you have measurements?

The Smalls are a new item and not on her site yet, but they are awesome! Very purse like...

10 x 10 x 4 (approx)
2 exterior pockets (under flap)
1 interior pocket
key fob
optional bottle pocket ($5)

The Large Messenger is:
14 x 11 x 5 (approx)
2 exterior pockets (under flap)
2 interior pockets
1 large bottle pocket & key fob

The Small is available in all the same fabrics as the large. The Small is normally $135, but the co-op price is much nicer. :)

How do you find out about these co-ops? I'm still learning my way through this message boards and I do appreciate any information you can provide.
Thanks!

What about Vera Bradley? You could even try just a purse (rather than a baby bag), a lot of them have pockets on the inside. Some of her patterns are girly, but she has a solid microfiber line. The new colors for spring are teal and a lime color.

The small messenger bag is 10x10x4, which I would consider to be pretty small!

BUT... WHY do they all have that leopard print interior? I HATE leopard print. I'm assuming special ordering will make the price sky rocket!!!

Maybe I should just sew my own, but I doubt I could come close to the quality of something that I would really like!!!

So, MAYBE I could live with the Asian prints, but NOT the leopard print. Ick!!!

Again, it's OK for some people, but NOT for me... I always think of Ivanna Trump or somebody "over the top" when I think of Leopard print!

Well darn it Melissa! Oh, I just thought of another one...

www.1154lill.com

You can custom design a bag, pick your own fabrics, and everything! I've heard they have awesome quality and no leopard print! :)

I have a few 1154 Lill bags (I live in Chicago, where the original store is located) and I love them all!

LMK if you have questions....

LOL I wondered the same thing.I guess it's their trademark.I wouldn't mind the leopard print as much if it was paired with something other then asian print fabrics.I just don't like the two together.
