Hmph! I asked them last week if the style in the overstocks was being discontinued or updated and they said no. Guess they don't tell their CS staff much!

So, who's going to be the first to get this and give it a try? Hopefully it is lighter weight than the last one -- it was really heavy, even when empty.

Interesting bag...I'm trying to see where the take-away bag comes into play...can't see where it unzips!

I hope they carry these in local Sears stores...I would like to touch and feel it, you know? Seems like it's priced pretty well...There are just so many backpacks with similar features...the weight would really make it a winner, if they lightened it.

I can't play...OCC took all my money! :(

I just got off the phone with the CS rep. She thinks it is about the same weight as the old style. She couldn't find the take-away bag either and she an actual backpack right in front of her.

It sounds a lot like the older one, just tweaked. I asked if it would come in all the new colors the LT is in, but apparently no. Too bad -- I was seeing a pink one in my future, LOL!

hmmm.. you'd think the key clip would be in the parent bag.

I loved the old parent bag. It was my "purse" in China when I was out and about and didn't have Mia with me.

I love the durability (and price!) of Lands Ends' products, but I wish they would put a little more thought into their website and what information people want about their products. I bought an older style diaper backpack from them in fall 2003, assuming that it would have the same interior pockets that I saw on all the other bags I looked at. It had nothing, which contributed to me only using it for my son's first 6 months. For this new model, there's still no information about whether there are pockets, how big the compartments shown are, or anything else. I just ordered and returned the LE LT and the LE Medium Tailored Tote, and I feel like in both cases I wouldn't have ordered them at all if the website had better size information or more interior pictures. I suspect that I'm done ordering bags from them--if it isn't at a Sears store where I can see it in person, I'm not interested. Thanks for letting me rant!

I can tell you a bit about the interior pockets, based on my conversation today with a LE CS rep.

Starting from the bottom front of the bag and working back, there is a zip parent pocket on the front of the bag (non-detachable) 6"H x 11"W, with a key fob, cell pocket, mesh pocket for wallet, lined in light blue. Next, there is a 14"H zip pocket, lined in silver, and I think this has mesh pockets too. Then there is another zip pocket, the full height of the bag, 1/2 of this pocket is insulated and there are mesh pockets in this. Then there is the big third pocket, which has other mesh pockets. There is a velcroed pocket at the back, for the change pad.

THe CS rep made it sound like there were lots of pockets in this bag. I know that the backpack that is currently listed on their overstocks page had a lot of interior mesh pockets. I had that bag, but returned it thinking I would never need such a huge bag. Well, here I am thinking I just might....

I sure wish they would make the backpack in the nice colors the LT comes in now -- I would order a pink or atlantic blue in a heartbeat!

Ok, so what ARE the new & improved features? It has one more compartment?? I honestly cannot tell from looking at the site pictures or reading their description. Someone will definitely have to give a review. ;)
