I have a Fleurville Mothership that I love, but I am having the hardest time making it work with my Combi Twin Savvy. I have 9 mo old twins + toddler, so I need the space of the Mothership, but the baskets on the Combi are tiny. The Combi has one long pushbar, and the strap of the MS is too short to hang it. I tried the stroller swivel hooks and they work ok, but not great. I have to squish the wide strap all up to fit it on the hooks and then they slde around on the handle.
I got a Skip Hop that I've been using since Christmas but I just don't like it. Too small, velcro scratches my hand, and I really find it annoying to clip and unclip it from the stroller every time.
I'd like to go back to using the MS full time but I've got to figure out a better way to carry it on the stroller. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!
Sarah

I know the baskets kind of stretch out, any way to push it in there? It seems like it could stick up without getting in the way of the seats. I am also assuming that the carry strap doesn't stretch across the entire back, right? It does on the skip hop. Just set it to a very long strap and hang it over the entire bar. It actually hangs better than when clipped on the combi twin. I know that doesn't solve your space problem, but it at least gets you past clipping and unclipping. I think you are going to have to be crafty or find someone that is, and create your own attachments - maybe some type of a velcro loop? Maybe there is some way to hook it under that little bottle attachment thing, and the side of the sunshades? I know the sunshade has a velcro attachment that comes off to make the shades go all the way down to the napper bar (LOVE that feature), so maybe you can rig it up?

I had that problem too. I actually bought a stroller with the 3 seperate ergo handles because of that issue. I have the Inglesina Twin and when I carried my MS, I just hung it on two of the handles, which worked great. The Alpha 7 strap fits across all 3. Aside from buying a different bag or a different stroller, not sure what to suggest. If you're considering a different bag, I just got the new LL Bean bag and was able to fit everything from my MS into it, and it's much more compact and light and the strap would probably fit across your entire handlebar too. It's definitely not as sporty as the MS, but I've been thrilled with it so far. Or you could always go with a backpack.

Would you consider "splitting the load" and putting things you would always need (like dipes, wipes case, empty sippy, bottles (if bottle feeding)/formula, non-perishable snacks for the toddler, etc. in the skip hop and just leaving that in the car. When you load the stroller, just leave the skip hop as a stroller bag...
Then keep a smaller diaper bag (Chesters are nice and light and "tight" for lack of better word) in the Combi basket. Again, put in diapers, wipes case, etc. - just fewer of them...and then include your wallet, phone, personal things. That way, if you left the stroller "out" (like in a park), it wouldn't be like someone could lift your wallet (and I DARE someone to try to take a skip hop off in a minute - it ain't that easy for the uninitiated!).
Other than that, I can't think of a lot of options for you. We have a Peg Perego Aria Twin with the same handlebar issue. I guess we get around it because there are these annoying Peg Perego diaper bag clips that we use a Bumble Bag on (they have available "D" rings on either side of the bag). Also, the basket is pretty big and deep. I can use my Loom Marsupial in the basket too (when not using the Bumble Bag) and it doesn't "catch" on the basket - mainly because it's so structured. It's a smaller bag and you sound like you need all the room you can get! I know that Little Company (available at Baby Depot) makes a stroller bag that opens up more conveniently than the skip hop. It's cheaper too. If I can find the link, I'll post...

Unfortunately the MS is not the best bag for the Twin Savvy :-) I have the TS as well but never had a MS. I was going to suggest the stroller hooks but that isn't working well for you. Did you try using the hooks near the carry strap and the other near the drink holder? I found that when I use the hooks on the left side, they always slide down but when I use them near the carry strap and drinkholder they stay in place better. Maybe because one is kind of hooking onto the carry strap and the other is held in place by the drink holder (sort of).
On the rare occasion that we go out with the TS now that my twins are 2+ we do what the PP said - use 2 bags. I have a Timbuk2 Metro that I use for diapering stuff and a Timbuk2 Shortcut that I call my restaurant bag (contains snacks and entertainment). Since they are both small I can fit one in each basket if needed or else I just make the straps long and hang one or both of them across all 3 handles. It is easier this way since I usually leave the Metro in the car unless I think I'm going to have to change a diaper.
Sorry, I know this doesn't help solve your MS TS problem.

I love this kind of challenge! Okay, here's something you might be able to rig up. Computer stores (and the electronics department at Walmart) sell a package of Velcro cord keepers for under $5. The package has strips of Velcro that are double sided--hooks on one side and loops on the other. They're made to wrap around a bundle of cords and then stick to themselves easily. I don't know if they're strong enough to hold your MS, but it might be worth a try. They're long enough to go around the wide strap and the handle bars. If they were tight enough, maybe they wouldn't slip as much.
If the Velcro isn't strong enough, maybe carabiner clips. There are super strong ones that climbers use and other kinds often seen on keychains. I looked quickly and can't find a good example online, but try a sporting goods store near you. I've also seen them at the LL Bean store here. I just got a cute heart shaped one on a keychain there that seems pretty strong, but they're not on LL Bean's website. Good luck!
