View Full Version : Kind of silly question for Skip Hop owners with Starbucks addictions

Every once in a while I see a post from a Skip Hop owner stating that they are able to hold a Starbucks cup in the front and mesh side pocket. Well I love my coffee so I have tried this a few times and have always failed miserably! Is there a trick to this?? I know this is a rather frivolous question, but I have always been curious. Unfortunately for me, my Skip Hop is the pink corduroy which I love but does not want to let go of coffee stains. I have washed it so much the velcro is pretty much ruined! Oh well, I guess I will have to buy the new Skip Hop Dash!!

Yes, I am a Starbuck's addict, LOL. I have a red canvas SH and put my decaf tall soy light foam latte or my decaf Grande no whip Mocha frappucino in the side mesh pocket. I've never had a problem with either size cup spilling.

You could always try a travel mug -- Starbucks sells them or you can get them elsewhere. That would definitely prevent spills.

I have to try this for times when my hands are full and I reluctantly decide to go without coffee! I have a Starbuck travel mug, and if it's snapped closed, I can turn it upside down without a spill. The one thing I don't like about them is their durability. Maybe it's because we put them in the dishwasher, but over time the lid stops screwing in well and the mug has to be tossed out. The Starbucks ones are the most non-spill that I've found, so if this Skip Hop thing works, I may have to go buy a few more!

Melissa,

I am laughing over here b/c my DH always makes fun of the way I order my drinks at Starbucks too...

My usual is a tall decaf nonfat latte or tall decaf no whip mocha. I just tried their new chocolate drink today, but had to have skim milk mixed in...

I wouldn't put a full coffee cup in the mesh pocket, but once I drink it down a bit, I haven't had any problems.
