I just ordered a Posh Baby bag in Kiwi Stripe and a Skip Hop Dash in Red. I was planning on ordering the Posh Baby bag even though I hadn't told him yet but the Skip Hop came out of the blue. Yikes! He tracks my shopping like a hawk. I had to do it though. :) My regular Skip Hop Duo is too small for a newborn and a toddler. I don't want to use my Posh Baby bag everyday so I need something for rugged outings. Totally justifiable right? :)

Tara, I am so jealous!! I want these same bags too!! I was actually thinking that I would have to choose between them, but now maybe I will get both too!!! If you don't mind me asking, why are you getting both??? (Not that you NEED a reason!) Also, where did you order from?? Thanks!

Do we have the same husband??? DH is also very mindful of my spending....he pays all the bills so I can't pass much by him. Anyway, I picked up a catalog/brochure at Nordstrom yesterday and I was showing DH the denim skiphops and he said....another bag....you don't need another bag! He actually thinks its funny (my obsession) but he will only fund it to a certain extent....enjoy your new bags!!!

I ordered the Posh Baby from Nordstroms. I had a store credit there but was still left paying for 1/2 the bag. I pre-ordered the Dash from Happydaybaby.com. The link was posted in the BBB homebiz section this morning. I have a Skip Hop Duo right now but with baby #2 on the way I need something larger. I am a serious packer! :) The Posh Baby bag is sooo expensive that I hate to use it for trips to the park or on most playdates. I love how well the skip hop holds up and I would feel better having a bag for more casual activities. Dh also doesn't mind carrying a Skip Hop. I know that I won't mind if Dh sets the bag in something at McDonalds but would probably not be as forgiving if it was my Posh Baby bag.

Of course it's justifiable--a new baby means more to carry, so a new bag is a necessity, right? And it sounds like the Skip Hop bag can be easily justified as your everyday larger bag. As for the Posh Baby, you got it for half price, since the store credit wasn't cash out of your pocket. At half price, don't you deserve to treat yourself a little? *Grin*--I can justify anything. DH isn't convinced by my arguments, but maybe someone else's will be! As for the Dash, let us know about it when you get it! It's on my short list of bags to consider in a year or so when we hope to have baby #2.
