View Full Version : What to do? I lost the shoulder strap to my Fleurville Alpha 7...

I believe I stashed the shoulder strap away on the day I received my Alpha 7 in black cord. For the life of me, I cannot find the shoulder strap again. I contacted Fleurville and was told that I need to pay $20 for the strap. At this point, I don't think there is any way out other than shelling out that money for it. But I just feel stupid paying $20 for something that is still somewhere in my house. I guess this is more like a "vent" or "DOH!" moment post. :-(

I do this constantly too so don't feel bad!!! OK - if it was me:m I would not pay the $20 b/c you know its' going to turn up!! Instead, go to Target (or the like) and pick up a suitcase strap. Just about the same thing. I did that when the clips to the strap broke. I think it cost me $6. Then, search your house like crazy!! Or, better, stop looking and you'll find it!!! lol

Or you can also let them know that when this happened to me with my Skip Hop strap (I broke mine, but they didn't ask me what happened when I said i needed a new one) they sent me a new one right away, no questions, I didn't have to pay a thing. I would seriously let Fleurville know about great customer service from another diaper bag company - skip hop will definitely have my business again, I wouldn't be so sure about Fleurville.

Caroline,

LOL. Your last sentence is so true. But I have "stopped" looking forever. Maybe I haven't NOT looking hard enough. :-P

Thank you for the suggestion about the Target suitcase strap. I'll have to visit Tar-jay this weekend.

Oh, no, Jennifer, now you just gave me even more reason to buy a Skip Hop!... ;-)

Thank you for the great idea. I am not very good at confronting retail companies about customer service issues. But I will give it a try again. Wish me luck. Thanks.
