It has been a revolving door here with all the diaper bags coming in & out of the house.

Kristen- sounds like you and I have similar tastes in diaper bags! I just started my collection but I just saw an irl pic of a Bolsa Bag the other day and I was in love! Also, I am thinking about getting a Shih jetset bag in pink! Do you have any additional charms besides the "baby" ones that come with it? I also want a Bumble bag in the pink paisley Jessica style. I guess I have some sort of fixation with pink...
Anyway, those are just a few of the bags I am lusting after.

Right now I have a PPB shoulder bag in woo woo, and a mid-sized catini tote, plus the hospital bag. Not nearly enough! Thanks everyone for broadening my horizons and making me realize I need many more than one!

The Skip Hop and Kecci are both unused with tags still attached, as I'm not sure I'm going to keep them just yet (The SkipHop doesn't seem big enough for me, and the Kecci is so pretty I'm afraid I"m going to "hurt" it!). The LLB is my main everyday bag. All the LTs are FS; the Navy and Red are gently used and clean, and the green is never-used and NIB. My Apple Cord Bag I use occasionally, but not much since I got the LLB bag, which I love.

I have Jacob in the charms! Every time I carry it people think that is the cutest thing! Fortunately I only had to order the J, C & O because I used the B &a from "baby". They are HARD to put on though......I think I got mine from pinkmascara.com

May I ask how much you got your Bolsa for? I saw one on ebay for $190 buy it now, but I was just weondering if someone might have one for cheaper in the future...$190 is still a lot better than $280 though!

I think I might get Angel for the charms if I get the jet set bag...my daughter's name is Angelica but we call her Angel for short!

The woo woo pattern is like this dark eggplant purple brocade with these light greenish and purple poppies. The lining is an off pink/rose color... it looks much better than online, I will try to post the pics in the near future, plus I want to do a review!

And yes, I just recently joined the yahoo babybags group, I love it!!!

Oh yes, that was my worry with this also! But my name is Mom, so "procrastinator" is in my bio, right? ;) Make sure you use a good sturdy interfacing like Peltex or Timtex in the bag it you want it to do anything but droop over! I forgot that part, and ended up raring to get moving on making the bag, and didn't want to stop everything to go get the right interfacing first. I might make another one someday though, and denim is a great idea too! And Joann's has great brocades as well, especially the prequilted ones. :) That pattern are you using?

Thanks for the advice and encouragement! I've got Decorbond and some cotton batting that I'll use between the bag and lining if it needs a bit more body. I spent hours pouring over the pattern catalogs in frustration before finally finding exactly what I wanted on a free website. I'm making a bigger bag and adding 5 interior pockets, but here's the link to the original pattern. (It's a photo tutorial, so it's slow loading.) It's shaped like a lot of the Ebay seller's bags.

DH and I have just decided to sell our home and move to something larger before trying for baby #2. After realizing how much we have to do, I may give in and put my beautiful fabrics aside for a few months. Oh well, maybe it will be baby #2 who gets the mama-made bag. I've had the SAME problems with both of my MSs--my Blue Choc. has already been exchanged once and is going back again and my Choc. Cord was exchanged one and I'm hoping that I won't have a problem again! It's terrible! I know that Fleurville is glad to get rid of the vinyl issues they had!

Currently: Skip Hop Duo in Storm (light grey) and Vera Bradley CarryAll in Bermuda Blue. I am freaking IN LOVE with my Vera Bradley CarryAll. It is perfect for me right now. It has a place for everything and it's such a bright, happy, cheery pattern. I like my Skip Hop a lot, don't get me wrong, but I have to say it's gotten way less use since I bought the Vera bag.

This is so fun to read! I have a 6 mos old and have everyone thinks I'm crazy for needing more than one bag and looking for more. (Not many of my friends have kids yet). I see them as purses now. I don't carry a purse when I'm with my daughter and I'm with her 99% of the time. No one has only one purse, right??

My little one just turned 7 months this week and yes my DH thinks I am a little crazy with all my recent bag purchases.

Lucille, can you compare the reds on your Skip Hop and your Alpha 7. I am interested in an Alpha 7 in red, but in looking at them, the reds seem very different. I loved the deep red of my old skip hop (just not the depth of the bag), but the red canvas Alpha 7 seemed lighter in color - not sure if it was the store or the bags! :)

I would say the A7 has more orange tone in its red than the SH so it is a bit brighter and not quite the deep red of SH. I probably prefer the red in SH more but I still like the A7 just fine. I am attaching a pic of the bags side by side, HTH.

(1) Baby innovations backpack from babiesrus - I don't use it anymore and don't like how few compartments there are.

(2) Hospital similac diaper bag - I actually like this! Used it for the first few months before I discovered this board! Perfect for the first few months since I was exclusively breastfeeding and needed to carry only diaper changing items.

(3) Kecci in aqua - I love the organization in this and the vinyl pink interior. The larger size is great that now DD is on solids and I need to carry snacks.

(4) Mckenzie kids shoulder bag - I like the separate parent pouch that comes off.

(5) Lesportsac everyday shoulder bag - This is probably one of my favorite bags now. It is not a diaper bag, but has many zippered compartments and is light. I am able to wear it messenger style.

(6) Chester backpack in florette - I love the vinyl covered fabric. I find it a bit small and lacking in organization since DD is on solids. Maybe I'll use it again when DD is out of diapers?

(7) LL Bean large travel touring bag - Just ordered.
