Augh!!! Marsupial questions.....

I got my Marsupial & I am so disappointed!
I LOVE the bag (looks) & the color...
But my stuff just doesn't seem to fit!
I really don't think I am a heavy packer anymore...
but by the time I got my things in there it would barely close.
I know I've read posts here by people who've listed what they pack in their Marsupial & it seems like a lot more than me.
Could you Marsupial owners help me out & tell me how you have your bags organized??
BTW, here's what I tried to pack:
2-3 size 4 diapers
Huggies Wipes case
1 cloth diaper (burp cloth)
Loom Watermelon with my stuff in it (make up, pills, etc)
Wallet
Small cell phone
Avent sippy (outside pocket)
Water bottle
1-2 snack cups
Make-up case with baggies, wet ones, shout wipes, etc.

That's about it...I didn't even pack any clothes!
Plus, I even put the changing pad in the exterior back pocket.
What am I doing wrong?? Is this bag just too small for me?

Also, what's up with the "drawstring" pocket inside....the drawstring doesn't seem to pull the pocket closed...is it supposed to??

Here's what I pack in mine:
-In back interior long pocket
2 size 4 Huggies
2 size 5 Huggies
small roll of plastic bags
-Interior bottle pocket right
rolled up OiOi changing pad (I like it better than the Loom one, which is a real pain to open with one hand! And it's a little thin)

-Interior bottle pocket left
two jars of baby food
baby spoon
bib
disposable placemat

-wipes container pocket
wipes container

-small pocket-front
small wallet and small pen

-Main interior space
Timbuk2 Medium zip pouch with DS's meds
3 snack containers (the Glad disposable small cups)
tube of lotion
vacuum packed soy formula (small)
snacks in a baggie
small zip pouch with tissues, face moisterizer, lip balm, etc.

-Exterior Bottle pocket
sippy
-Exterior bottle pocket 2
bottle

-Rear exterior pocket
clip-ons
hand sanitizer
Palm Pilot

The drawstring doesn't do too much unless you stuff that pocket and have a lot of things. Then the drawstring just locks it in.

I just put extra clothes in the car.

I would punt the Watermelon. Unfortunately, it just doesn't work when you have a fair amount of stuff in there (at least for me. I like to close this back and have the magnets really stick!). It can sit on top of everything, if you don't have too much in the main compartment, but otherwise, you really need to limit the bulky stuff. But it's a trade-off with the organization of the bag - either pack everything or limit the stuff for easy access (sigh)...
