This is just SO cute! SEW cute, I guess! I let Lucas pic the fabric, and I just love it. It's called Denim Ted, and it has a solid navy reverse side. It came VERY quickly, and Lucas says it's "verry tomfy, Mommy" (comfy). He especially likes the little pillow. I haven't gotten a pic of him in it yet, but here is the pic that Cathy sent to me with my mailing confirmation.

Sue, my guy is almost 2.5 years old, so we're a bit late on this purchase. But I'd say as soon as your child is able to sit up on their own, they'd be fine in this. It came with one pillow, you might be able to request a second one, and have one on each side of the baby to bolster them a bit. Lucas started riding in the shopping cart at around 9-10 months old, but that was b/c that was when he outgrew his infant carrier; he rode in that until then. :)
