Has anyone tried one of these mini backpacks as a diaper bag?

UPDATE: OK, I know its gauche to answer your own post, but I checked out the EB Mini Backpack (link above) today IRL. It is TINY!!!! There is a small (ie., my small wallet would NOT fit) zipper compartment at the front, and another small compartment secured by a strap and clicky thing, with elastic around the top behind that. Because of the elastic, you really couldn't use this for much -- maybe toys? The main zippered compartment is behind these two smaller compartments. It is surprisingly small. And I didn't like how the flap from the main part of the bag and the straps go over the zipper -- it would be very hard to get into if you were trying to do it with one hand at say a check-out. And, my last gripe is that the straps didn't have any padding at all -- just thin nylon.

I was quite disappointed in this bag, as I had such high hopes for it.

The search continues!

Melissa,

I am so glad you posted your opinion on this bag! I posted a question about this very bag a while ago - thought it was cute - but never saw it in person.

I was on the verge of ordering - just so I could see it IRL - but I am glad I didn't after reading you post.

Thanks!

Michelle :)

I am still looking for a mini backpack. If you find one, let me know!

There are lots of mini backpacks out there, but very few have side pockets suitable for a sippy cup.... :(

I was on the hunt for a similar backpack a while back and remember seeing these - both are smaller backpacks that have exterior pockets that look like they would work for most sippy cups. I did not end up getting one after all, but here are links to two I considered:

An Eagle Creek one at ebags.com:

A Lands End one:
