customizing diaper bag?

I think that I really want a messenger style bag for the organization but, after my first few days getting around with 2 kids I think that being able to carry it like backpack makes more sense. I already have one backpack that just doesn't seem big enough. My question is, how hard would it be to add backpack straps like the PPB or pursonality to a fairly cheap messenger style bag? TIA!

Don't know about that but an affordable backpack is the Lands End diaper bag backpack. They have the older style on their overstock page for under $40. I just recently purchased one for when our baby #2 arrives. I haven't actually used the bag yet but I have packed it up to make sure it was big enough and I tried it on and it seems like it will be very comfortable.
