It's kind of like hide and seek. My ideal diaper bag is evidently hiding and I need help finding it. Pleeeeeeasse! I have a WW backpack that I really do love, but it's very "wintery". I am such a diaper bag newbie, I have no clue where to start looking. Here's what I'm hoping to find in the ideal bag:

- lots of pockets inside and out (I like everything to have its place)
- relatively large (I live 30 miles from EVERYTHING so when we go out, it's for an entire day)
- I tend to use it as my purse when we're out, so something stylish would be nice
- solids, stripes, gingham would all be fine (not big on flowers)
- the top of the bag really needs to close (zipper, flap, SOMETHING)
- something that will stay on my slopey shoulders
- probably should keep it around $100 (ok, maybe $150)

The WW bag is the only one I own, so I'm really open to ALL of your suggestions. (Can you tell me where to buy them, too?)

Please -- anyone want to play??? Thank you, thank you, thank you! :)

1.The first thing that popped into my head - L.L. Bean diaper bag or the large Touring bag (difference colors) www.llbean.com ~$35

2.Loom Marsupial (can see it at www.loomlife.com) $130

3. Timi and Leslie Large Bebe (around $150?)

4. Posh Baby Ultimate Diaper bag ($170 - but this site is having a sale http://bellablumaternity.com/index.php?cPath=90_63&page=1&osCsid=a5bbb6bc6f418ada1be57a7f21dd9442 )

You can check the yahoo baby bags board for gently used ones!

I would HIGHLY recommend the Haiku!!! It has lots of pockets, is large enough for all day trips, but can be used even when it's not so full...AND it's gorgeous!!!!!

Next choice would be the T&L large bebe. Lots of fun patterns, comfy to carry, good many pockets.

Good luck!!! (Oh and if you want to look on babybags here's the addy: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/babybags/

I have a Mothership that I use for all day outings since it's *huge*. Fits everything, has a rubberized shoulder pad for non-slip and can be worn messenger. I also have a Marsupial that I use on a daily basis but doesn't fit quite as much. I put 3-4 dipes, wipes case, my Fleurville wrist purse, small cosmetics bag, M's small blankie and a book, a sippy cup in the side pocket and a few other small items. It fills up fast though.
There are plenty of both bags on babybag swap for less than $100! Good luck finding your bag :)

I'm no guru, but I would suggest the I'm Still Me SoBig backpack/messenger. It's huge, but not as bulky (IMO) as the Mothership.

I just received it yesterday & I'm so impressed - exactly what I was looking for. I have only used it one day so I am still figuring out the best way to organize it. Tons of pockets though, 6 outside & 3 inside. Closes with a flap. Not too heavy. I think it is a great "out all day" bag.

I'm going to post a full review with pics but until then, here is the website if interested: http://imstillme.com/about_retail_bags.html

What about a fleurville bag. they pretty big -- too big for me
I am using my Petunia Pickle bottom all the time but I think that may be too small for you

Try Fleurville they very sturdy and a lining what easily wipes off dirt

Have you seen the Pursonality Bags? http://www.kidsnstyle.com/xcart/catalog/Pursonality-p-1-c-350.html
Do a search of this board and there have been some pics posted of it. I'm thinking about getting one myself, but am afraid that it's bigger than I need.
