I bought one a couple of years ago for the beach. I found it in the laundry section of Target where the ironing boards are. It has a big square bottom that can stand upright with a drawstring top and a strap so you can sling it on your shoulder. It has a solid nylon bottom and mesh sides. It folds flat but pops open to stand when needed. It was about $10.I think Target still has it.If you want a all mesh drawstring bag Target had some in their dollar section. HTH

We had a co-op a few months ago for a great bag, www.saltwatercanvas.com. It's all mesh, and extremely well-constructed! http://www.saltwatercanvas.com/meshbags.htm

I bought the Whale Bag, and it's huge. I love it! The capacity is enormous, but the bag is still really light.

Hope this helps!

Target also had some big mesh totes in their "seasonal" section yesterday. In my Target they were near the front of the store, where the hats and gloves were in the Fall. They had some cute colors and were only around $10.

Best,
Mary

I suggest the x-large LL Bean ziptop Boat Tote, it's canvas. I would steer away from mesh because I would think that the sand and dirt, etc., will fall out of it and into the car/house. With the LL Bean canvas boat tote all the sand/dirt will stay inside the bag, you can turn it over and shake it all out when you get home and it's even machine washable. I love mine, it's so sturdy, classic looking, and you can monnogram it. :-)

You can also get a matching 'pocket' for it http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?storeId=1&catalogId=1&langId=-1&categoryId=38412&sc1=Search&feat=sr

Here's a general link to all of their summery totes... http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/search?searchTerms=boat&startRec=1&numWanted=5000&loggedIn=0&page_type=null&hotBG=0&filter1=A50&filter2=Vpaging

Sounds like you need an x-large LL Bean Mesh Adventure Tote. :)

Just my two cents...

Excellent pick! I hadn't seen this one. It gives you some mesh to get the ventilation you may need for wet stuff, but the bottom is solid so that the sand/dirt/water won't get in your car/house easily. I like it!

Here's a link to it. http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?storeId=1&langId=-1&catalogId=1&categoryId=40305&parentCategory=5236&cat4=3153&productId=639994&display_id=49608&feat=sr&catalog_id=TA&from=&rtnComp=

I got the $10 Taget bag a mongthor so ago and used it for a beach vacation. It was great. Very roomy and the mesh is fine enough to keep sand out (or in, if your throwing sandy toys in), zips closed.

Sadly the target tote is too small. The Saltwater bags and LL Beans bags are certainly ones to consider. For now I may use a mesh pop up hamper w/ handles that I have and never use. Although, I feel kind of silly using this.....thanks for the responses.

ETA: I found a great one at Bed, Bath and Beyond yesterday and it was only 10.00!!

Another vote for the saltwater canvas bag. I bought the Whale bag during the co-op and I love it. I haven't been able to use it much, since we received them after our summer was over, but it's a well-organized bag that holds a ton of stuff.

Wow, I ordered the Whale on Mariana's recommendation and it is HUGE. What a lot of bag for the $$. I think we could carry home a couple more toddlers in it, lol.

It's also super light though, love it!

Mary
