Hey all, Computergeeks is selling this backpack http://www.geeks.com/images/300x300/car-nav-venture-zerog-unit.jpg for 18.75 plus shipping. http://tinyurl.com/6dvdw A code from fatwallet for 10% off is NOFOOL ... Shipping to me was like $6, so I think it was under $25 shipped.

I didn't buy this as a baby bag or dipe bag, but it has real potential! 2 compartments, the back one has a slip pocket that would be perfect for my changing pad. The "rack" system is removable, but compatible with keeping bottles, blankets, etc baby stuff seperated so you dont get deep packed syndrome as much.

Plenty of zips, pockets... I just opened up the box I found and thought I'd post about it before bed. I can post inside pics too if yall are interested; been super busy @ work and I'm exausted now :) Hope this helps someone-- we're a backpack family (can you tell it was for me without baby in mind!) and looks like it will be a nice compliment to our eagle creek parent pack (which I still love, but thi one may win out).

Also came with the cd case and water bottle/holder.

There is a pink model here: http://tinyurl.com/65w4g for 16.50

I got the blue though :)

They're apparently $80 retail backpacks. Just a quick look but this thing is a nice quality pack. Their website is here: http://www.rakgear.com/ though the blue one isnt listed on their site I think.

I loooove that pink backpack! If you find time to post pics of the inside, I would love to see them :)

I am still trying to figure out if I am a backpack person and want to try some more of them out.

Thanks for the review!

Naptime but I wanted to upload these pics. :) the red one is the eagle creek parent pack.

This is the closest/truest pic of color-- the rest pick up camera flash. There are 4 seperate zippered pockets-- 2 large ones in back, 2 smallre ones in front. Also 2 water bottle pockets on eaither side in black mesh. There is also a very small slp zippered pocked on front (where the "rakgear" logo is) that only zips up the side.

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/24139.jpg
Front 2 smaller pockets-- veryfront one has no compartments inside, the ne behind it has zippered mesh slip pockets on the non-facing side (not pictured), as well as slip pockets in the nylon (in black, pictured). Some are velcroed, some not, diff sizes (good for student sized things). Also has a keyfob.

Inside "rak". These fold down for schoolbooks, etc. They are also removable (they're attached by a heavy velcro, I haven't tried taking them out yet). The rack also extends to the bottom and down-- it is freestanding and helps give shape to the inside bottom (this is the widestpocket at about 4"? or so, the plastic rack holds the compartment open so it doesn't collapse on itself and gives the pack a nice SOLID shape/

Back pocket. One deep, velcro padded pocket (for laptop), one smaller slip pocket in front of that one (great for wipes, I'm thinking).

Bck. The black mesh you see is actually heavy padding along side of back and top/bottom. Nice.

Eagle creek parent pack & rakgear side by side. Similarly shaped (BIG backpacks!) RG is bigger== it's empty where the EC has stuff in it.

http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/24144.jpg
Top view, RG seems a little deeper. It also is heavier, but I haven't taken the rak out to see the diff. This is a BIG pack though.

Back view. I'd only miss the slip pocket for the changing pad that's o the EC (shown). The EC also has really REALLY nice shoulder straps, not sure of how good RG is since I haven't tried it packed yet.

Macro of the nylon.

This is really cool, and a great deal for under $20 imo. We're going hiking and this will be great for us.

OH! I also forgot, it came w/ the 32oz insulatedbottle and cd case, too.

LMK if you want new pics :)

Do either of these backpacks have side pockets big enough to hold a 16 oz. Nalgene bottle? I'm having trouble finding a backpack that's not meant for just baby bottles or skinny water bottles.

Thanks!
