Hi, i am looking for a backpack that has the organization of a diaper bag, i don't want a backpack that just has a big space where everything falls to the bottom. Any suggestions? TIA

Try the One Step Ahead model:

We have been using it since Zoe was an infant (it is the dedicated daycare bag). You will probably find reviews and references to it if you search the archives. Impossible to NOT be organized with this bag.

A lot of the backpacks I've seen do have a big space inside, but many have some organization to compliment it.

The Baby Sherpa and Shorthaul Sherpa have tons of organization and are super comfy to wear, but they're not very "pretty".

The Timi and Leslie Bebe Backpack is gorgeous, and has 4 nice pockets inside. But it still has a huge big space in the middle.

Most of your conversion backpacks are really well organized...Bumble Bags, PPB, Fleurville Alpha 7, Kecci, Loom Bandicoot, Tara Boone "Grace", etc. I bought a Bumble Bag once and was really impressed by all the organization. I have a Tara Boone on order, so I'll be able to comment more about those soon.

It really depends if you're planning on wearing it for extended periods of time or not. If comfort is an issue, I'd be sure to find one with padded straps. I'd also keep an eye open for water resistant interiors, insulated bottle holders, and a secure closing. Many bags are pretty, but are so easy to ruin with just one bottle leak if your interior isn't up to scratch.

Hope this helps a bit!

I bought the Baby Sherpa after researching backpacks - and I hate it for everyday use. It was great for my airplane flight so I could feel comfortable taking everything with me (diapers, wipes, tylenol...)- but I brought my LT to use while we were there.

I bought the Lands End backpack to see what it looked like in person - and my husband said he wanted it as his diaperbag for his car. It is growing on me as a diaper bag - but lacking the compartments I think you are looking for.

If you find the Baby Sherpa too big, I suggest that you also look at the Short Haul Sherpa. I love my Baby Sherpa for travel or amusement parks but now with my daughter old we use the short Haul for everyday.

It has great organization, nice features and is ergonomic.

Adria-

I had no idea you have #9 on the way! Assuming I'm reading your signature correctly, you have #9 on the way, not pregnant with 9...right? :)
