Besides price, what is the difference between the cordoroy and canvas Skip Hop Duo bags? Is the cordoroy much more sturdier to warrant the price difference?

I don't think the cord is neccesarily sturdier than the canvas. I think the price difference is just for the difference on cost of materials. If you go to fabric stores, for example, cords are usually more pricey than canvas. Many shopping cart covers also use a cord backing and charge extra for it.

We have a corduroy and a canvas (both black), and I don't think there is any really big difference. If anything, the canvas is slightly more sturdy.

I thought we would switch them out seasonally (I don't know why, since they are both black), but now DH tends to keep the canvas one in the car at all times in case we walk out of the house without supplies (which happnes frequently at our house).

I just ordered a Dash in Olive/Orange for a trip I'm taking on Friday with DS, and I am so excited! My ONLY complaint about the Duo is that when we're flying, etc., and the bag is a little packed, stuff will spill out when I'm searching for something at the bottom. I'm hoping the Dash will help that - we'll see!
