I have been looking for a light weight simple umbrella type stroller for quick trips. I already have one to use for shopping trips and a jogger for walking but I need a better one for quick trips. I bought a cheap one at a store and I used it twice and hated it, the wheels didn't work well and I had to bend way over. I'm 5'6". I tried posting on a site for strollers but nobody responded, maybe because I was new. Sooo I turn to you all here. What do you have and love. I have been looking at the mac volo in pink but don't know if it is worth it?? TIA and sorry to post this here :)

I bought a 2004 mac quest for the same purpose. There are some really great deals out there for last years models. Granted there are no pink macs but you could get a 50% savings. By the way I'm 5'7" and love the way the mac pushes, very smooth and no hunching over.

I have an 04 Inglesina Swift & love it! I even used it at Disneyland a couple months ago, it was great. :)

Ok, it was 30% off when I got it in December and I just figured it would be even lower now. But its not much, Albee baby has 2004 mac quest for $124, the 2005 is $199. The volo isn't as great a deal $79 for a 2004 and $99 for a 2005. For that difference I would probably spend the extra $20 for the pink if that was what you had your heart set on.

Sorry,

I have a Silver Cross Micro which I bought primarily for air travel and mall trips. I love it and I see it now comes in pink!

You can see them at www.arunningstroller.com (Marilyn, the owner rocks!)

I really like the look of this, do you mind telling me how tall you are?? I just don't want to have to bend over to push it. Also do they only sell these on line, or are there any store that I could find them???
I just found one on ebay, does this look like a good deal??? It includes shipping.

I'm 5'10" so you shouldn't have any problems.

Here's Silver Cross' website link to the places that carry their strollers. Maybe there's a store close by:

As far as price, the Micro is cheaper at www.arunningstroller.com than the E-bay link. $109 vs. $119. Running Stroller shipping is free too.

Just in case this is an issue for you, the SC Micro does not recline. I loved the look of the pink Micro but wanted a recline so I had to pass on it. The SC Mini does recline though. And I second getting one at www.arunningstroller.com, Marilyn is great. :)

You've already gotten great advice here! For a really lightweight stroller, I think you can't go wrong with the Volo or the Micro. They're both so similar, there's really not much to contrast. I think one difference can be seen in the tires...I [i]think[/] the Micro has a little tread to it.

Personally, I like the handling on the Volo better, but that's just me. :)

You all have given me great advice. I was just looking at the website arunningstroller and noticed the clearance section and there was a zooper??? Any thoughts on that one. Is it small enough for quick trips???

Well, it's heavier than my P3 but that's the only thing I noticed about it. I don't really know anything about them but maybe someone else does.
