View Full Version : What do you think of this bag? For a small purse/diaper w/sling?

So I've been continuing my search for a smaller alternative to my Skip Hop or Kecci for wearing with my daughter in a sling. There are a lot of cute bags out there but it is hard to find one that is smaller than the SH but not too small.

What do you think of this? I want to pack a diaper or two, maybe a rolled up burp cloth, 1 or 2 wipes. Wallet, keys.

Might be a tight fit since it is only 2-1/2'' deep. Saw this one in a catalog yesterday and thought it looked nice.

That is cute too! It is similar in size: 8¼"L x 6¾"W x 3"D versus 7.5" x 9" x 2.5"

I bought this a few years ago as a camera bag, but am now using it as my purse/small diaper bag. I can easily fit 2-3 diapers, wipes and a burp cloth in one pocket. I have a compact organizer/wallet and makeup in the other. There's also a pocket on the flap that holds snacks. It really packs a lot and the price can't be beat.

So I went ahead and tried the Manhattan Portage bag - partly because it came in pink - and it looks like it will be a very cute little diaper bag/purse.

In the front pocket on the outside flap I can easily fit two size-2 diapers. In the taller inside zipper I can actually fit a whole travel pack of wipes (the plastic kind). I might not always want to carry that, but it does fit. Inside I can put the changing pad from my Skip Hop, folded one more time, an extra outfit, my wallet and a burp cloth and, while the bag is fairly full, it's not crazily packed. There's a pocket on the side for a cell phone. It feels nice and light and good to wear with a sling.
