Kecci?

Okay, so now that I've spent the past hour or two obsessively looking up information, pouring over all sorts of things on the internet, and just researching to death, I *think* I've decided I'm rather interested in the Kecci Shanghai. Well, both the colors I like aren't available right now, though that's not a huge problem since I can wait. I'm a bit confused about something with them though - they both say on the Kecci website that they're backordered and will be available May/June, but if you click on the caramel one it just says "Out of Stock" and if you click on the turquoise it says "Discontinued". So if it's discontinued, how can it be available next month?

Anyone with any insight into Kecci want to explain this to me? Should I get my hopes up of the turquoise ever being available anywhere, or is it really discontinued despite the "available May/June" thingie on their website? I'm a bit more partial to the turquoise than the caramel, but don't want to get my hopes up if it's hopeless.

Melissa, I've seen the turquoise one, and many other colors at Norstrom Rack. I also saw it at TJ Maxx for 24.99! It said it was imperfect, but honestly I couldn't see anything wrong with it. If I see one again in my travels I'll snag it for you. I've never seen a caramel one in any store.

Melissa, I have a Kecci and love it. It's a perfect-sized bag. Did you see James toting Rashmi's around all weekend? I did and I thought it was great! I don't know if my hubby would be wearing my Kecci! ;)

I have the chartreuse one, same color as Rashmi's. I also got a Caramel one but returned it because it was very gold. If you are interested in that color Michelle at www.mylittleducks.com just received some in stock today I believe.

I would love to get the turquoise one too--they looked so pretty in the pictures. :) I've heard they can sometimes be found at TJ Maxx and they previously made a brief appearance at www.overstock.com.

Yeah, I saw a couple on eBay last night, they just weren't the greatest price. I've got them on my watch list, but if they get too ridiculous, I'm unlikely to bid on them. ;) Thanks for the info though!

The chartreuse was up there on my list, except for the pink interior and trim. I'm just not a pink person, and didn't think I could deal with that. ;) I don't know if John would tote one around or not, though I suspect he would just because he wouldn't want to have to transfer the stuff to another bag. (Of course, if I were to buy a chartreuse one, he probably would go to the effort of transfering it all.) This is the same man who won't wear our Kozy because he thinks he looks "stupid" in it. ;)

So the caramel is more gold than it looks in the pictures? I did see it on Michelle's site, I just liked the tuquoise a smidge better than the caramel and wanted to see about finding it first before I just ordered the caramel from there. But that's my backup in case the turquoise is nowhere to be found for a somewhat reasonable price. ;)

Anyway, thank you all for the info and help and such! I'll let you know how it goes!

I emailed Kecci a few weeks ago and while I did not ask about the Turquoise particularly, I was given the idea that the may/june in stock date was more like a june/july! they wouldn't be specific though!! I agree w/ PP re: EBAY- lots of turquoise NWT on ebay- just do a search for Kecci. I also got a chartruese bag- brand new- from a swapper on the bag swap board. I haven't used mine yet (due in July) but I just LOVE the look!

There was a previous thread about this a while back and I think that the consensus was that it was pronounced "catch-ey" or "ketchie" kind of like ketchup (or catsup, LOL). :)

I just bought a turquoise one at TJ Maxx last week for $24.99. I had bought a different color earlier and gave it to a friend. There was one more when I bought it. Do you want me to check and see if it's still there?

You might want to check your local TJ Maxx. They've been showing up fairly regularly there. And CHEAP!
