Chocolate w/Pink Dash - any real life exp?

I have been planning on the Skip Hop Duo in red since before I found out I was pregnant :) to be gender neutral. However, now that the Dash is out (I like the style better) and we found out we're having a girl (hooray :) ) I want a girlier color, since I'm the one who will be carrying it most of the time. It does still need to be okay for DH to carry, but I'm pretty sure the Chocolate w/Pink Dash would be okay with him. My only concern is the Chocolate color in the SkipHop website pictures looks kind of washed out to me - is it a deep chocolate thats pretty or not? Any real life pictures of the bag would be GREAT too. TIA!

I have one and just tried to take a picture for you, but it came out...washed out! The brown is a deep brown, I really like it quite a bit. IRL, it's not washed out at all. Many of the SH photos don't look as nice as the bags themselves. I had a camel cord Duo before and it was much nicer IRL than in the picture.

I agree with Rachel - it's not washed out looking at all. It's very chocolatey. I've been happy with mine so far (aside from the annoying velcro).

Hooray! I am so glad to hear this :) Are your DH willing to carry this bag? It seems that the pink is not super bright - is it more like the Bubblegum pink color? Also, where is the best place to buy SkipHop price wise? I am thinking Target w/a 10% off coupon when they have free shipping...obviously I've got a few months to go so can afford to wait for a good deal. Thanks so much for your help!

I don't think that my DH has ever carried a diaper bag- so I'm not the best one to ask! The pink is a little bright, but the brown really tones it down. In terms of price, I think that they are $68 across the board- it's one of those things where I believe the company sets the price and that's it. As far as I know, target does not carry skip hops. The best you can do is either wait until you have a coupon or gift certificate at store that does carry them, or check the babybags Yahoo group, where you might find one new with tags or new w/out tags. That's where I got mine. If you end up ordering one from a store, then try

Target used to carry the Duo on its website, but I just checked and they aren't listed anymore. I don't recall ever seeing the Dash or the Expo at target.com.

I have an OT question. I wanted to buy the chocolate Dash, but hesitated to buy one b/c of the pink trim. I noticed you have twin boys. I have a DS also. Because we are moms to boys, can we carry more feminine bags? It just might feel weird to me, but I have read posts that it shouldn't matter b/c we are the ones carrying the bag(s).

Anyway, I was just wondering what other bags you carry...
